With the all the stuff coming out because of the movies, I keep getting an urge to write something with Captain Marvel, just can't decide which one!

I've had some great but weird ideas. One of them was going to be a dark grittier version of Moon Knight who fought criminals his own way and outside of the Avengers and F4's popularity. One idea was inspired by Dave G who wanted to do a gang war story using the urban heroes with supernatural results. My idea of the concept would intro Alexandra Reid from the Defenders Netflix series becoming the new Kingpin of New York after taking out Fisk with Juggernaut's help. This would lead some of the other urban villains to take over most of Fisk's spots leading into a gang war. With Daredevil out of town in his new digs, Moon Knight becomes the new defender of Hell's Kitchen.
This is an idea I had to reboot the main MK imprint to fill the hole left by Daredevil and Punisher on writer hiatus. This is only an idea.

I remember the Marvel Knights group.
I was slated to write a Juggernaut solo series for it. Hrm. Thanks for reminding me about that...

Every time I watch an episode of CW Super girl I get the urge to write a mini for the TV version of the DEO, where Supergirl is gone and they actually have to do their job.
There's some good characters/actors, but they don't get to actually do anything. They deserve to save the day.

Watching a video talking about Marvel's New Universe, I get my usual urge to do something with those characters.
They weren't great comics, I have kept hardly any issues, but I like the ideas and feel like they deserve a second chance.

They had a lot of promise Travis. Warren Ellis' update did too but sadly he let that die on the vine.
As for myself: With the movie news coming along, I really lately have the urge to work on the Eternals. The ideas I have percolating would work better in an ultimate setting though not fit a divergent continuity like M2K.

Remember Greg Weisman's Starbrand and Nightmask series from a few years back? That had something useful before it was cancelled.
I like to do a more modern take on Howard the Duck after the success of his cameos in the Guardians of the Galaxy films. Bringing him back to his classic Steve Gerber era making fun of a certain orange president, Family Guy, memes, and of course superhero movie overhaul. I would have Howard and Beverly split for a temp of time with Howard going on solo adventures.

The New Universe has potential, great ideas there, but nobody seemed able to make it click. Warren's attempt had potential, but yeah, it got ignore really quick. Love the Eternals! They have always been on my list. Be fun to write them as period pieces, rather then find a place for them "now"

I’ve the urge to write a Power Company series, that was a short-lived series by Kurt Busiek that brought back classic silver age characters into the new fold

Every time I think about them, my idea is if Busiek hadn't created new characters, what existing DC characters would work in the line up?

Sersi and Madam Curie discussing transmutation and the like. Love it! Love the design of the Eternals, but set now, they tend to become yet another hero team. There's a couple centuries of their history that Kirby barely touched on. Though, in the past, we lose Ransak and Karkus and I love those guys!

So, Ellis' New Universal died because his hard-drive crashed and like a bloody amateur he didn't back up. So his bible and plots for the continuation of the series were lost, and neither he, nor Marvel, made much of an attempt to rebuild it.
I think it would have been very similar to The Wild Storm, which is a wonderful piece of world building.

Did not know new universal was one of the projects lost in the 'great crash'.
and yeah, it did feel like the test run for Wildstorm. Hopefully, DC does something with the world, when the series is done, instead of it being another Multiversity.

I can already see it going that way.
