UPDATE!!
Being as that was in all caps, you know it must be important.
Fresh off the back of feeling all pleased with myself for managing to complete the first six issues of Batgirl, and chronicling Stephanie Browns ascension to the role of the Narrows sworn protector, the outlines for issues 7 and 8 have both been officially finalised and also authorised by the Powers That Be!!
What could these two singular issues be about? Well, I can't give away everything, but in the interests of perpetuating intrigue, I shall provide your curious selves with both titles...
"You, But for a Twist of Fate" and "The Monorail Waits for No-one".
What could this mean?
Speculate!!

It means ole wheezy Killer Moth is still lurking in the Narrows somewhere.
Also that the Leigon of Doom hasn't knocked the Narrows down yet...

On that very same related note, I actually just read the Killer Moth Halloween Special, and I would just like to say that I was super geeked to see the Narrows being featured in another tale, and you sir just made my entire day. Being as its Batgirl’s stomping ground, I really want Gotham’s Forgotten District to become a character unto itself, and seeing more layers being added to it by others is super awesome, and the introduction of Killer Moth to its fabric (see what I did there?) is all kinds of tantalising.
Makes one wonder what could happen in the future.
Hmmm.
On an extended related note, the reference to Batgirl in Batman #2 also made my day, although it was likely written before I officially came on board, as far as I’m concerned it’s in relation to Stephanie, and thus that makes it cannon.

Well I've always associated Killer Moth with Batgirl. That coupled with needing to set this story in Gotham's scuzziest suberb made me think of the Narrows almost immediately,

What no love for Cass? lol Oh, I have plenty of love for Cas, she was actually Batgirl when I first starting buying comics for myself, so I will always have a fondness for her. However, given the opportunity to run with whichever Batgirl I enjoyed most, Stephanie was a clear winner, and the opportunity to write her series helps to make me feel a little better about the New 52. A little. That being said, from day one I’ve considered different ways of integrating an appearance from Cas, but with several plates already spinning, nothing suitably awesome really fell into place. In addition, there are many characters I would prefer to leave as open as possible for other peeps to bring something awesome to the table concerning their DC2K status quo, and the former Batgirl is certainly one of those. I didn’t want to set anything in stone for her unless I had a really cool idea myself, just in case someone else had a great take to bring to the table. Will Cassandra Cain make an appearance in the future? It’s entirely possible, but we’ll have to see what the future brings first XD

Sneaky Sneak Peek of Batgirl #7!
I'm good to you.

**********
Six Months Earlier.
With the fog so thick tonight, Nicholas could scarcely see the Narrows across the bay, Gotham’s forgotten District blanketed in gloom. If there were lights to be seen, they had no hope of penetrating the mist, the cities cast offs all but set adrift from the mainland.
The Detective pulled his coat on tighter, unsettled by a sense of premonition as he waited on the Docks, the water rocking against the harbour with a fitful tide. He coughed, fingers numb as he lingered impatiently, resisting the urge to stamp his feet as the winter chill seeped deeper into his bones.
She was late, he reminded himself, all the while resisting the urge to give in to concern. She had been late before, she had even chided him for his reaction; she knew what she was doing.
He needed to have more faith; she was prone to saying, the Commissioner didn’t question Batman.
Gage checked his watch regardless, the minutes dragging by.
She knew what she was doing.
This is how it worked in Gotham.
...
Something had gone wrong; his gut sinking as his every instinct screamed at him to take action. Something had gone wrong and he had no idea what.
They had made a terrible mistake; this wasn’t how it should work in Gotham, this was insane!
It wasn’t until he began pacing that he realised how right he was. There, in the water, bobbing ominously just above the scum lay a splash of yellow and bold red.
One pace became two and then, as trepidation grew into outright panic, the young Detective sped up into a trot. That trot became a run and finally it became a sprint, a figure resolving from out of the gloom as she floated in the bay, face down in the polluted murk.
“Shit!” he cursed, horror threatening to overwhelm him as the fantasies of yesterday collided with the realities of today.
“SHIT!!” Nicholas leapt, disregarding his own well being as he dived into the bay, their hubris laid bare with startling clarity, striking like a hammer to his temple.
What the hell had he been thinking?
What the hell had any of them been thinking?
Why was this allowed to happen...?

Do I need to unleash my army of spies on you?

Brainstorming Time!!
Issues #6 and #7 of Batgirl revealed the long abandoned Subway Station Platform buried beneath the Wildcat's Gym, one that has been swiftly repurposed by one Ted Grant for her Niece to utilise as her base of operations. The thing is, I can't just keep calling it the Subway, we are in need of a cool (or affectionate) sounding name going forwards, and apparently 'The Batcave' is taken.
All ideas welcome XD
