Well.....After what The Last Knight was....
I have been reading the DC/Looney Tunes one-shots, and they aren't that bad. I wish they did a reboot of the Duck Dodgers/Green Lantern cartoon episode with Daffy as Dodgers meeting Green Lantern and teaming up to fight the Red Lanterns and Marvin The Martian.

After the DC/HB one shots, I'm feeling a bit gun shy about trying the Looney tunes ones. The Marvin/Martian Manhunter one was fun. May try the Jonah Hex one.
A local auction house did a big comics auction and I won a couple bids and have now added a big pile of Thor comics to my reading list.

I think the HB/DC crossovers would have worked if they'd gone beyond the current titles that were running. Maybe shake it up and have Ben 10 meeting up with Robin & Superboy; Kamandi going to the Jetson's future; The Snorks getting involved with Atlantean affairs; Yogi's Gang comes across the Suicide Squad, and so on.

Anyone not reading a Transformer title is a fool I say, a fool! ...never thought I'd say that, though I've been reading Prime, Lost Light, More Than Meets the Eye, etc. Some of my favorite ones were the stories that focused on the black ops weapons of mass destruction Dinobots. They have always been my favorites but once I started reading the comics over the last several years that dealt with them I started liking the dumb talking ones less and these guys more.

I was surprised that I actually liked the Wonder Woman/Taz story. I thought it was sad when Taz told her that he was mad not that she left and never came back but that she took the music away. I will be reading the others here shortly.

Ben 10 isn't a HB character, but from CN. But if DC had the rights back from IDW to do Cartoon Network titles again then Ben 10 would team up with Dial H for Hero. Speaking of crossovers, I don't know if that crossover project here we thought we can do is still a go or not? I have a idea for a limited series for DC2K, but I'm going to write the series first. I want it to be a surprise and a tribute.

The Jonah Hex/Yosamite Sam one shot was not bad.
Bit more blood and sex then I'd prefer in my loony toons comics, but a decent western story.

I am surrounded by comedians...
Personally my preferred amount is none. I don't need to know Yosemite Sam got laid or see Foghorn Leghorn get beaten till he spits up blood. and I will back slowly away from anyone that announces that he does...
I never get the point of doing that with all ages characters. They tried the same thing with the HB characters and it didn't work terribly well there either.

Loonatics Unleashed, the dark era of the Looney Tunes. If Warner wanted to make Bugs into a anime action hero with neon colors and bad one-liners in a dark Batman Beyond future, then crap on my childhood some more. These was even two funny New Ground shorts about the show, with the second having a twisted ending. I liked The Looney Tunes Show as it was more of a modern sitcom with the Looney Tunes mixed in with humans without having to use their cartoon antics. I didn't like their version of Lola by making her "the dumb bunny" character, unlike the smart version we got in Space Jam.
The series finale would have worked if they had mixed in the Bruce Timm Superman: TAS cast like Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen in cameo parts, even have The Justice League show up with DCAU Batman at the end of the episode to confront Bugs' Bat-Bunny.
The only thing DC did right was they reprinted the whole Superman/Bugs Bunny crossover into their 100 Page specials.

Reading my comics from the auction, I'm reminded how good Thor comics were under Simonson and Defalco.
Lots of big fantasy and sci-fi elements mixed with super heroes and the stories easily went from one genre to the next, like it was no big deal to travel from Asgard to New York to the Black Nebula.

Anyone reading the marvel Generations one-shots? Interesting idea having the current versions meeting the classic ones, but at least in the Hulk one shot there's no hint of how/why this is even happening.
Was there an intro one shot that sets this up or are they doing all the team ups and then going to explain stuff? It was distracting.
In happier news: the Batman 66/ Legion of super heroes one shot is brilliant. The most fun thing I've read in months!

I've been collecting TPB in digital form, as I have Jem and the Holograms Vol. 1-3. I want to get the complete run of the Archie Sonic the Hedgehog comic series now that the series has been cancelled due to copyright problems with the SatAM characters. I hope IDW will give Sonic justice.

I just finished the Marvel vs DC collection as well as the one shots that followed. I was also able to read some various Spider-Man TPBs as well. Just finished Feral and now I am reading the Back in Black story line.
