Wow, I feel sad just reading that. That makes so little sense.
I remember reading that there had been past 'scarlet witches' and thought that could interesting, but the rest flat out contradicts so much marvel history I feel stupider just thinking about it.

Apparently her maternal grandfather had been the "Scarlet Warlock"

What is up with every character suddenly being a legacy character?
Have we met the sacred coven of Squirrel girls yet? The Jessica Jones Corps?

You can thank the MCU for that. Remember Quicksilver was in two films, but not in the same universe. The Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch in the MCU could not be mutants due to the X-Men films are owned by FOX, and references to the X-Men and Magneto could not be used. It's like JLU couldn't use any of the Batman characters due to the Nolan films and The Batman series on Kids WB.

Why can't the MCU versions just have a different origin and leave it at that? Why not just leave the comic versions as they are? Especially the since the change made no sense in the comics it literally was the stupidest thing EVER

Wow, I feel sad just reading that. That makes so little sense. I remember reading that there had been past 'scarlet witches' and thought that could interesting, but the rest flat out contradicts so much marvel history I feel stupider just thinking about it. Everything is so complicated, and it doesn't have to be. "On the night Pietro and Wanda were born, Chthon tried to break out of his prison in Wundagore Mountain. It was driven back, but marked Wanda as a potential vessel." That is a canon event that occurred in the back-up stories of the Atlantis Attacks crossover. No need for any grand legacy, or mention of her parents. That is how Scarlet Witch got bad luck powers. As for Quicksilver, just as easy. The Golden Age hero known as the Whizzer had once stopped for the night at Wundagore. Obviously, the High Evolutionary took a blood sample and used it in experiments with an infant. Also, Polaris is a mutant who just happens to have magnetic powers. It is possible for two mutants have identical powers without them being related. Oh, as for what I'm reading, some old school Fourth World by Jack Kirby. I'd love to fanfic it, but the art is 90% of the fun. Even the great boisterous narration only works because of the art.

It's weird that marvel is trying to cash in on their movies/TV shows in the comics and doing it in the worst and sloppiest ways possible.
The Defenders comic with the TV line has some of the worst writing of recent history, the return to planet Hulk has a clunky 'Thor vs Hulk' fight shoehorned in and I can't tell if X continuity being a mess is the movies faults or just a tradition now.

I would suggest if you are going to do Kirby based fanfic you'll want lots of exclamation points.

I just read the DC Halloween Special, and I have to say that those stories give me an idea for something I want to write.

I read Power Pack #64, and I wish this wasn't a one shot. I like to see the M2K return of PP, as I liked the series until it was scrapped. We don't have any other teen team titles here next to New Warriors and Young Avengers. At lease Big Hero 6 gained popularity after the hit movie.

Having just read Mark Waid's first issue of Captain America, I want to have a brief, happy cry and then write Captain America fanfic.
Ot maybe take a character that has been treated crappy and build them back up.

How many ways can I get Captain America to say "Hail HYDRA"?

Reading the new Iceman series is so frustrating, as I want to like it, want to help promote X-characters getting solo series that aren't wolverine. But, the writing is so clunky and heavy handed and even with a Champions reunion, I can't do it anymore.
