What is coming up next for Duke Thomas in Agent of the Bat?
The hunt for the cure to help Dukes parents begins. Duke wants to help his parents but believes that this mission maybe to much for him to handle especially when the key to the cure lies with the person that started the whole thing to begin with the Joker himself. With the Clown Prince no where to be found Duke decides to go after the only other person who may know where samples of the Joker toxin may be found the wild card herself Harley Quinn herself. Is Duke up to the challenge when he comes face to face with Harley? We will find out soon enough.
Also the mysterious players behind the scene continue to move the pieces of their chess game positioning them for checkmate. More answers will unfold as the story continues to grow.

Joker is in Arkham, per Batman #1. Maybe Duke just can't get access to him there?

The way I have to story going so far Tim made it look like Joker can not be found at the moment even though he is in Arkham, mainly because per orders from the Bat he does not want Duke going anywhere near him. What I have so far is Tim basically tells Duke that he needs to be patent while they work on it, but Duke is too hard headed when it comes to his parents so with Harpers help he decides to go after the next obvious choice which would be Harley Quinn.

Great start to the series. I like Duke as a character. Will he get a code name here? I'm not really sure that he needs one.

Great start to the series. I like Duke as a character. Will he get a code name here? I'm not really sure that he needs one. Honestly I was racking my brain trying to figure out a code name for him, but as time went on I came to the conclusion that he did not really need a code name. Duke is a hero in training who still wants to be something more for the people to look up too then a costume and code name. One of my earlier ideas was to have him be like that link between the people of Gotham and the Bat Clan. My idea had something big happening and in a massive fight to help civilians escape Dukes helmet gets damaged to the point he has to remove it in order to survive and people see his face. They see him jumping into the fray going up against a yet unknown foe and giving in everything to save innocent people and in the end they start seeing him as an actual face for the ones who work in the shadows to protect Gotham. Would something like this have its ups and downs? Yes it would because it would mean he is known to the public, which in itself means he would have to distance himself from someone like Bruce Wayne and others for fear someone might actually start putting two and two together.

I'd love to see him go up against Bane!

I'd love to see him go up against Bane!
You know, that makes me wonder if Batman has a 'no fight' list for his various protégés.
If you run into this person, you NO NOT engage!
Whether or not his various protégés would abide by such a list is another matter entirely.

That's actually pretty reasonable. If Robin is on patrol on his own and sees Ras al Ghul tearing it up, would Batman approve of him intervening without backup? Yes, Robin is capable, but perhaps there's a "zero risk" protocol that Batman has instituted for certain villains. I imagine that he would have specific methodologies and plans already drafted to take down the likes of Clayface, Mr. Freeze, and other superpowered foes.

Batman has a cheat sheet?
...Batgirl doesn't seem to have received hers.

I'd love to see him go up against Bane! As far as my plans go Duke will have a run in with Bane but not really a lot fighting really, more of a run in as Duke is chasing down the ones behind the new venom infused street drug that is going to be popping up.

I imagine that he would have specific methodologies and plans already drafted to take down the likes of Clayface, Mr. Freeze, and other superpowered foes. I never thought about it but I guess that could be a reason why Bats does not want Duke going after the Joker in order to help his parents. I could see some others that Duke would not want to go against like Deathstroke, Deadshot, Poison Ivy, etc. But like what was said earlier would probably hold true is that most proteges would probably jump in and do what they have to in order to take down the bad guys. And speaking of Clayface has anyone ever thought about if he could possibly have a kid of his own, and if so would that kid gain his abilities? I would love to see a new generation of villains come about one day.

I'm sure it is in the Bat mailbox as we speak. Has she stopped by the Gotham City Post Office recently? Lol

Part of her training involves deducing that the document exists. Batman's a dick like that.

I seem to recall that the female Clayface had a kid, but that was waaaaay back in the 90's, so he/she/it could have been killed/retconned/ turned into an attractive coffee mug by now.
What version of claycface is the current guy? He looks like the animated one, but I have no idea what continuity they are going with.
