Silk has been a pretty good read in my opinion. I think one of the things I found funny was that weird attraction lust thing that seemed to pop up between her and Peter when they were to close together. Plus she played well with JJ Jameson in her day time job. Right now I am really likeing Ottos Superior Octopus costume.

I did like the Silk series and I do say that this is a good spinoff than The Prowler as it flopped as an ongoing. The good Silk story I liked was Spider-Women with Silk, Spider-Gwen, and Jessica Drew dealing with an evil version of Cindy. The whole Silk faking her villain role just to infiltrate the Black Cat is a great and all, but they should of had Spider-Man get Felicia's mother to stop her from what she has done. Peter tried to convince Felicia that it was Otto in his body who put her in prison. I didn't like Black Cat as a crime boss as she'll have new enemies with Spider-Man and other heroes when she was their ally.
I hope when Secret Empire is over, let's hope Marvel finally has Black Cat contend with Doc Ock for ruining her life.

I've always wanted to take a bunch of the Spider-women and do a 'Birds of Prey' kind of story with them.
And yeah, I was looking forward to Prowler getting a solo series and it was pretty abysmal and ended up just being a tie-in to the clone story.

Yeah I hated that Prowler series mainly because it was a tie in series. Prowler has such potential as a character but is largely underutilized. Silk is a great book that got cut down too soon thanks to tie ins.

Prowler has always been one of my favorite characters in Spideys friends and supporting cast. But I have to agree that the solo series was not the best and it did not help that it was tied into that whole Clone Conspiracy crap. When it comes to Black Cat I think I like the whole crime boss thing going on, because it takes her back to her bad girl role and not the 'Oh I have a thing for the Spider' stuff that has been tossed out over the years. Who knows maybe some where down the line a writer will change her ways but right now shes playing her role well. As for her contending with it was really Ock in Spideys body well I have a feeling the only way that is gonna play out is if it comes from the good Doctors lips directly when he starts bragging about his time in Peters body.

Hmmmm what would you call that book, 'Tangled Web' or maybe 'Spideys Angels' picture Spider-Woman, Spider-Girl, and Silk doing a Charles Angels pose. But seriously I would read this book in a heart beat.

One of the things I didn't like about the previous runs on the title was how under used Norman Osborn was. Now maybe that comes down to the fact that he was everywhere in the late 90's and early 00's. But come on guys Norman Osborn is Spidey's top villain. He doesn't need surrogates like Liz to take up his spot. Liz is a normal person a supporting cast member, not an evil overlord.

Norman Osborn was so overly used for the longest time and frankly it got really stale after a while. Spider-Man has a long list of great villains and while Norman may be at the top of it at least to me he is far from the best villain to face the web head. Normans biggest problem is he is his own worst enemy when it comes to facing Spider-Man. He can have the upper hand and then his craziness levels go off the chart and he loses in the end just like in the latest ASP story line. The story ended with Norman basically leaving on a journey of self discovery to find his true goblin self again. ''YAWWWWNNNN'' Here we go again on the same roller coaster ride for the millionth time. I would love to see more better and interesting stories with people like Kraven, Chameleon, etc and not just them being second stringers for someone elses master plan. As for Liz yes she is not a bad guy type but it seems they are taking her in that sort of direction sort of in Renew Your Vows and she seems to be playing a different role in the current Venom series.
By the way if anyone ever wants to talk comics, fanfic, etc you can find me on FB messenger. I am always up for brainstorming ideas and such.

Tired of Norman being Spider-man's Lex Luthor, as it got SO overused and the Goblin is not one of my favorite Spidey villains. I guess I prefer him fighting street level villains rather then Bond-like criminal masterminds.
Not even getting into 'let's put the convicted psychotic in charge of a government agency."

It is like you just happen to get the kill shot off and everyone automatically forgets you are a criminally insane sociopath and just hands you the keys to the kingdom of secret spy organizations. Personally when they handed the job to Tony Stark that was just as bad in my opinion because well you just gave the keys to an egotistical maniac who thinks he is never wrong.

Was someone going to submit to take on the Spider-Man title? Yeah I was going to but I got distracted by real life and school. So that had to be put on hold.

At this point, I think it's best to kill off Norman and elevate someone else. The best thing Slott has done is write Doc Ock. But in M2K and in the comics Norman should be dead. He worked well in the late 90's to early 00's but after a certain point, there is only so much you can do with a character. Hell, I got an idea to use Sins Past without having Gwen fuck Norman.

There is Augustus Roman, a rich businessman who has a hatred for both heroes and villains that he becomes Regent. He is Marvel's version of Amazo, as he is a anti version of JJJ. Regent could be a major threat to not only Spidey but the whole M2K universe as well. I like to see the return of Man Spider but as a villain who is a human scientist similar to Kirk Langstrom, or make it a woman version.

Was someone going to submit to take on the Spider-Man title? I'm still wanting try and tackle this and have talking with a friend about getting the title going again. We are putting together ideas and everything else to send to Dave soon. I've read through almost every issue here recently in order to make sure we don't miss a beat.
