As we head toward New Warriors #25, some new blood is needed and YOU get to decide the next member that fills one of the three new spots! The other spots have already been decided, so here's your chance to get the character you voted for on the team! Poll closes at the end of July.

I seem to recall that in the Big Hero Six comic-book, Baymax was a very different character from what appeared in the movie. Some clarification may be needed in that regard, and possibly with Rawhide Kid as well. Because that version from Slap Leather was...no, just no.

Note: Baymax is Hiro's bodyguard in the comic version as the movie and upcoming TV series was created by his late brother for a science project. In the movie, Hiro's brother is Sunfire, but due to X-Men owned by Fox and all... I never read Slap Leather after I heard of Brokeback Mountain...Nuff Said!

Rawhide Kid, if he appears, would be a current day character with a new holder of the title.

In the movie, Hiro's brother is Sunfire, but due to X-Men owned by Fox and all... Not quite accurate. In the comics, Hiro Takachiho created Baymax for a science project to act as his butler, chauffeur, and bodyguard, but he ended up becoming Hiro's best friend and father figure after Hiro used the brain engrams of his recently deceased father to program Baymax's AI. Originally, Baymax's battle form was that of a dragon-like creature, but then later he changed to a mecha design and his default form is that of a nondescript humanoid male. Hiro and Sunfire have never had any familial relationship, either by blood or any other means, Hiro simply idolized Sunfire as he was Hiro's favorite superhero. Hiro never had a brother in the comics, he was an only child. Sunfire also has never had a brother in the comics, just a sister--Leyu Yoshida, aka Sunpyre.

Just not Squirrel Girl. Anyone but her. I do not see the appeal of her at all.

I'm sure her and Alpha would get along great if she wins. But we'll find out who won at the end of July, with the issue probably hitting M2K around the end of the year if I can keep up the monthly schedule. The poll results are hidden from everyone, including me, but I have a feeling I already know who the top contenders are.

I'm going to let it go for a while longer. I'm still only in the middle of NW #21 so there's still plenty of time to get more votes in.
