No, it was just an idea.

X-factor #1: Hey, this makes 2 X relaunch titles that don't suck!
Still think a lot of Hickman's ideas don't quite work yet and wonder if that's bad writer or the fact that I'm not reading every X comic out there, so may be missing info, but this has potential and has inspired me to take my own mutant detectives idea and head to wikipedia and see if I can find a liner up I like.
Maybe I'll have a pitch to send Emma in the near future.

I have been thinking of still doing a Dark X-Men limited series with X-Men villains redeeming themselves as Marvel's version of The Suicide Squad.

Always thought it was a shame that when the Brotherhood of evil mutants was working for the government as Freedom Force, that marvel didn't use that to make their own Suicide Squad. Seemed they were heading that way, but hardly used them.

It wasnt until they fought the Reavers on Muir that they started taking deaths and shortly afterward the Saudi group. It would have been more fitting if they morphed the Mutant Resistance that fought John Walker. I dont like when companies use the same idea though

Seemed they were heading that way, but hardly used them. I was momentarily considering a Freedom Force title where the villains got days of ‘freedom’ away from prison to see their families etc. for completing missions but nixed it since the idea had a carrot but no stick. Also because it’d be stuffed to the gunwales with the Z list and below villains I love.

I dont like when companies use the same idea though In comics, I'm not the biggest fan of both DC and marvel doing a version of something, but I like doing it in fanfic. It's a fun thought experiment: What would Marvel's Suicide Squad be? Could DC pull together enough characters to create their own Alpha Flight...etc.

There was nothing wrong with Alpha Flight, lol. Hmm...a Marvel Suicide Squad. I would nominate Manslaughter as a member

Dc's New age of heroes had a lot of "takes" on marvel characters: Terrifics= Fantastic Four Damage=Hulk Sideways= Spider-man or maybe Speedball. The line only lasted about a year, but it was pretty good. Several of them were actually better reads then the titles they were 'ripping off'. I said it as a joke, but now I'm wondering: does DC have any Canadian heroes...?

Of course they. When I was trying to figure out to choose a pitch between Marvel and DC2K, Suicide Squad was my choice if I had went to DC. I decided on Champions instead, and with Emma back it may be sooner then later.
Plastique from DC is Canadian. She was going to be on my Suicide Squad team. Freight Train from Outsiders is too

Here is what my Dark X-Men roster would be:
Mystique-Leader Juggernaut-Muscle Angel Face-Mutant with a split personality Bishop-Watchdog Sabertooth Psylocke/Revanche-Fighter and telepath Gambit
Bishop and Gambit would keep the team out of trouble. As for Psylocke she is a new version of the mutant, but her outfit would be based on her Counter X version.
I plan to introduce the team in X-Men Unlimited.

I would even try and do a new take on Squirrel Girl and do a solo teen mutant series, similar to the 616 comic series. Filling the gaps from the Chris Olivia series to make the series more humorous with her going meta. but unlike Deadpool she would be more like the classic She-Hulk series John Byrne did.

I would like to use Dazzler on the Champions. LA is a big city and outside of Quicksilver, there isn't much crossover from the x-mutants and other team mutants. Dazzler isn't even part of the Xavier dream model student and yet she is a X-mutant

I've been tweaking on Dark X-Men and maybe revive the X-Force and or X-Corp title with the team roster I build up. Maybe adding X-Man, Manfold, and Mondo to the team. Even adding Wolverine into the mix.
