After the debut arc of POWER MAN & IRON FIST, I know the next major plot point but it doesn't actually involve a villain. A new supporting cast member will join the duo, but I'll need some villains to pit them against.
So, do any of these choices ring your bell?

I have the Circus of Crime dibbed for Alpha Flight, but it's not for a few issues yet to come. If you don't plan on making any radical changes to them, feel free to use them. If you do plan on doing something radical, e-mail me and we'll work something out.
Because, frankly, I think they would be awesome against PM and IF!

I like in fanfic when writers revamp lame or underused characters and turn them into super-badasses.
So I was leaning toward Zaran, since I'm sure D'Golightly could make him kick ass, but I saw the Brothers Grimm had some votes already, so I threw mine in there. They should be fun to see revamped too!
And I think we should wait til after ASM 50 to toy with the Ghost or Venom, since both of them play large roles in that issue... I'm hard at work on it I promise. It'll be worth the wait :-)

Why choose between Batroc and Zaran? I want the whole Batroc Brigade. Machete too.
And speaking of other characters already dibsed by others…
He's not on your list, but I wouldn’t mind reading an Arcade story. I've always liked Running Man-type scenarios and PM/IF seem like ideal contestants for a funhouse death maze.

Have you read D'Golightly's recent Vault arc with Arcade, Alan? I think your idea would be a cool follow-up to that storyline!

They should be fun to see revamped too! I was one of the people who voted early for Brothers Grimm, and I definitely did so wanting to see just how far their potential could be pushed, whether in a full-on revamp or just in some really dedicated, creative usage. I have a big soft spot for characters like the Brothers Grimm, where they have a solid hook/theme going. They're a matched pair (which plays nicely off the PM&IF duo) and they have bitchin' costumes (some people might think they're too corny and in need of a modern trendy dark leather makeover, but eh, I think there's advantages to old school flair) and they have a power set that is unpredictable without being an overpowering gamebreaker. Just being able to draw on every weird fantastical element in Western fairy tales and weaponize them ... oh, the possibilities. All right, that's it, if the Brothers Grimm don't win the poll, or if DG ignores the will of the people, I will totally have to write a Brothers Grimm story myself! (The other) DG

I've always liked Running Man-type scenarios and PM/IF seem like ideal contestants for a funhouse death maze. I'm doing a write-in for both these ideas. The Batroc Brigade or Arcade would be awesome foils. Or maybe a Battle of Bounty Hunters in Murderworld with the Heroes For Hire on one side and the Batroc Brigade on the other?

Regarding the dibbed characters you seen in the poll, that's either because I've been enjoying how they are portrayed on the site or because I'm jealous that someone else has claim to them :-)
I did enjoy writing a Murderworld in the subbasement of the Vault and wouldn't mind doing it again with some other characters. Pitting Batroc's Brigade against our duo would be pretty fun, and that would be a good setting for the fight.
Brothers Grimm...honestly, I just threw them on because I know nothing about them and thought it would be a fun challenge. We'll see how it goes!

The Circus of Crime! How they're not winning this poll by a landslide, I'll never know, but they've got my vote.

Bleh...hate to have to do this again.
The Brothers Grimm (and the rest of the Night Shift, as well) are dibbed by me for my next issue of Alpha Flight. I should have it done by the end of this week, though, and nothing is being done to change their status quo so they should be available shortly.
Sort of brings up the point about how long it has been since the dibs list has been updated.

I was curious about the idea of a new Swordsman. Although if you're going to use a guy with a sword, it may as well be El Aquila.
I voted for Batroc because, really, he and the Circus of Crime should be at the top of this poll. Batroc should be at the top of every poll. And now that I think about it, Batroc shouldn't be a villain. He should be Iron Fist's brief replacement, that Luke Cage will regret the moment he says yes.

BAH We all use the Circus of Crime at some point, that's why the others interested me a bit more. But, in I can self-indulge for a second, I would like to see the Ghost make an appearance. There probably won't be anything that I write to prevent that.
But I think we three who voted for the Brothers were just looking for something out of the ordinary. Looks like Jason got there first, but hey, no reason this can't be the start of a thrilling M2K career for the Brothers Grimm.
Hey, Steve, I'm reminded of Keiron Gillen's Batroc from that one-shot round the time of the Cap movie. That was good stuff, and that Batroc was someone who might make a pretty good foil for Luke Cage if they were ever put in that situation...
I mean, if Batroc 'hired' Luke Cage to help him track down his own Batroc Brigade, who've just double-crossed Batroc out his share of a special kind of loot...and they've got poor Danny as their hostage too! (Sometimes these things just write themselves, who cares about the details?)

Just a note, I've kinda got Batroc and Machete dibbed too, so maybe Swordsman?

I'd toss a totally random vote out for Ai Apaec, the Decapitator. Research him. Love him.
