I've been enjoying every issue of this series, so I figured why not do a review? The Good: Cheese has an chosen an excellent cast of underused villains, without a doubt. The combination of old and new is a great balance, with guys like Loadstone, Crossfire, Spear, etc. What's better is the feel that Cheese gives, that he knows his characters via Crossfire. Loadstone wanting her son, Headhunter acting as second in command, etc. And I like the use of RAID, they're fun punching bags The Bad: This is likely a me thing, but I've had a hard time keeping track of who's who when Cheese uses their real names in the downtime issue. These guys ain't 'Scott Summers', after all. Also, the Union Jack mini series never happened in M2K canon. Minor thing, not worh sweating over, just sayin' Overall, I definitely recommend the series and I look forward to reading more!

Thanks for the review. Didn't know Union Jack wasn't part of the actual canon.

I've liked it as well, although I'm not fully caught up. Suicide Squad has long been one of my favorite DC titles and this has a bit of that vibe to it. I've just gotten lazy on reviews. Actually, what am I saying, I've always been lazy on reviews and giving feedback. That period where I was reviewing every release? An anomaly, best forgotten.
Anyways, glad you stuck around john and that we finally got to see your work.

Villains for Hire #1-8
Well issues 5 and 6 are so missing so this review is a bit incomplete, but I promised John that his series would be the next one I caught up on in my bid to get a full grasp of the M2K Universe. I really enjoy this title and you can tell that Crossfire is John's signature character. I think every writer here at this site has a character they've kind of put their stamp on (i.e. Brent with Storm, Cory with Iceman, Dan with Wiz Kid etc.). So I feel that Crossfire is John's most definitely. But with that said, I have to say that Headhunter is my favorite character. I would love to see alot of focus put on that area. I agree with the comment above about this having a Suicide Squad feel. It most surely does. I would like to see the team REALLY challenged though. So far, even with their Avengers fight, it doesn't feel like they've been pushed to their limit. So I'd like to see that. But I am enjoying the series a lot.

That's weird. Issues #5 and #6 shouldn't be missing. Once the server comes back up I'll check the links and file names, see where the disconnect is. Thanks for the heads up!

I would love for the team to really get into the thick of it. Based on Steve's AVENGERS is there any chance for the team to come across remnants of The Coalition?

Maybe Series 1 is already completely conceived but it looks more and more likely that a Second Series may be in the offing. As for the Coalition...I'm going to have to find that and have a look.
