Have an idea for a celebration of one of our bigger crossovers. Hit me up if interested.

So here's where I'm at on this project. For quite some time, I've wanted to embark on an AoA level story somewhere, somehow. I saw an opportunity for that here in this A2K celebration. The essential premise of the story is this: the Twelve did not defeat Apocalypse. En Sabah Nur took Nate Grey as his new host and has set about finishing his conquest of the world. He gets bored and decides to make a world better suited to his liking. Cue the time travel!
I have about 5000 words of this story written and after I post the preview, people can decide if they might wanna hop in or not. Be warned. I move fast lol. So I have this entire world pretty much built, but I'm flexible in changing anything that hasn't been put to paper. So based on what I have written already, the following characters have positions set-up in this story
Pyro Avalanche Adam-X Madrox Justice Carl Denti Eshu* Jean Grey Edwin Jarvis Charles Xavier Curt Connors Wind Dancer Arcadia Deville Ever Rogue T'Challa Magneto Forge Thumbelina Quicksilver Scarlet Witch Polaris Dr. Nemesis Strong Guy Wolfsbane Karl Malus Elixir Cecelia Reyes Black Panther Brunnhilde Morph Mystique
Most of the characters on this list have only been mentioned briefly so far so there's room for nudging even in that. Anyway there's alot of prime real estate not even on the list yet so hey...possibilities. Onward to the preview...

“If Gyrich and Weaver want the X-Men’s help then it’s a suicide mission,” Mystique said.
“I know you have your reasons for not wanting to help Gyrich. Strong ones. But Raven, I wouldn’t have brought you and Morph here if I didn’t need you on this,” Messiah said, only getting a small nod from Mystique as response.
“Yea if I ever have to take one of Cybermancer’s ferries again, I’m pretty sure I’ll just choose to drown at sea,” Morph said, turning his hand into a paper bag and simulating himself vomiting into it. “And the price she charges…yea so just spill already boss. What’s so important?”
“It’s called The Three Jewel project and it could turn the tide completely against The Last Alliance in the Pacific.”
Mystique pushed her lips to the side of her face. “Is this really serious enough to call in two teams for?”
Messiah shook his head. “No. There’s more. The Three Jewel Project is just one problem. Apocalypse has decided to send Pestilence and his Marauders here. The Last Alliance is holding them off in Hawaii now, but there’s no telling how long that’s going to last. We need to defend Tokyo and everyone here knows why.”
Viper nodded. “Pym and his Ultron project can’t be exposed yet. They’re not ready.”
“Exactly,” Messiah said, looking at the leaders of two of his squads. “I don’t care how the two of you split these missions up. Either one is going to be dangerous as all hell. Stay here in Tokyo or go to Monster Island and shut down The Three Jewels. Your choice.”
“My team would be better for the defense of Tokyo,” Mystique said. “Morph has Winter and Tsunami if they really get in a pinch and Vanisher is there for extraction if need be.”
“Then there’s Dust,” Morph said. “Girl can get into tight places. Overall, my team is better suited to sneak in somewhere. So yea, gotta go with Raven on this one.”
Messiah nodded and stood up from the table, putting a black hood over his bald head. “Then it’s decided. Raven, you and Viper need to start discussing the defense. Morph, meet up with General Weaver and have her give you the basic layout of what their intel has discovered.”
“And just where are you going?” Mystique asked, her tone a bit more clipped than Messiah preferred, but he let it go considering she was probably on edge at the idea of working with Gyrich.
“Singapore. The Thieves’ Guild is going to be stealing something for me.”

I don't imagine I'll have much time to participate since I'm just getting Gen X started, but I look forward to reading more of it from you. The preview was enough to entice me. I want to know more about what this Last Alliance is?

If this is supposed to be an AoA type of tale then thank you for having us in the actual world and not just isolated in America. The brief passes that AoA gave to the rest of the world while putting such a whole focus on America has always bothered me. Apocalypse screws up the world and we focus all of the story time on 5% of its population. So thanks for that. But there was alot of name dropping here and not much characterization I picked up on here. Hope that's not endemic in the story.

Well I try to be a global minded individual when it comes to my work so that'll be on display here. Why not show the rest of the world getting terrorized? I think AoA probably had that American focus just because of how we Americans sometimes view ourselves as the center of the universe. Not necessarily right but I get where it comes from. And I definitely wouldn't use this preview to judge on characterization. It's just a small snippet of a much larger story.

No room for Crossfire and his guys <sigh> Apocalypse has no neef for mercs I guess I wouldn't say that John. This is still a developing story and there is one large character managing a mercenary network so you never know who might show up...
