Been a while but I'm back. I don't know if I ever reviewed some of Mr. Locke's Spidey before but I do know I read it and that was why I jumped back on the latest issue. And it is 2 years old? He said he was going to tie up his run with number 50. I certainly hope that he is going to come back. Maybe this review will grab his attention and get the creative juices a-flowin'.
Locke is a skilled writer. His characters voices ring true. There are good descriptions and he lets you sit in the scenes with the characters. And Venom showed up! I was wondering if anyone was going to pick up the guy after I put him on the shelf some time ago. Never been a big fan of the character but I like him much better as a villain. Lots of plot points poppin out all over the place in this one. Though I've not read many of the issues that came before I had no problem keep pace and running right along. This issue does have legs too. There is a horrifying ending here which makes me again DEMAND Locke get back on the horse and wrap this up. Poor Spidey. He can't be left that way.
That's just cruel, man.
Good read here.

Nice review, C Dub! Bryan's run on Amazing has been nothing short of awesome. I can't wait for the big finale to hit, either. I know Bryan's had some technical difficulties with this bad boy, but I'm sure when it drops it'll drop with the THUNDER!

Anywho... Surprised to see Bryan has replied to this. Maybe it means he's hunkering away on next issue as we speak?

Yeah...I'm on it. It's plotted, and a couple scenes are written. Cory's not lying--I lost this issue not once, but twice, and dear lord, it's painful every time I sit down and try to work on some scenes. But recently, rereading my own UXM (and reading Cory's kick-ass NXM) helped me stoke the creative fires a little bit, so maybe I just gotta reread some ASM rather than just trying to draw from my plotline and memory.
It's coming, I swear. There's a lot in there already and it won't disappoint.
Thanks for the review! And I do feel really guilty about how long its taken me to get through my run, I ain't gon' lie. I'm sorry.
