I've got to say issue 1 was a weird reading experience for me. The blurb announcing that Doug Ramsay was going to be tuning the new team got my attention and got my brain rolling about what kind of team he would have and then i started reading and you came up with a line up that never would have occurred to me in a million years.
Still not a Dakken fan, but the idea that he has claws on both sides of his arm was a cool visual.
Like that you've thought about Doug's powers and made them interesting, as well as starting with a small team.
Not what I would have done, but as I saw what you had in mind, I could go along with it and enjoy the ride.

Thanks! I want to keep the team small the majority of the time so that the overall stories are easier to manage. I want to go deep into these four character's backgrounds. I appreciate the feedback; keep it coming!

Issue #2: Again, since this line-up never would have occurred to me, I feel thrown off guard reading this series.
Which is good, as it never gets predictable, but still feels weird.
Cypher is interesting, but don't feel you need to rush to make him active and kick ass. I kind of like the idea that the leader has very low key powers. Darken is growing on me. I like how you established him as a Wolverine rip-off and are now trying to show how he is different. I liked Xorn even before you introduced the idea of 'who is under the helmet?', now she's got an extra spoonful of interesting.
Morph doesn't annoy me, but I was never a huge fan and he seems to be getting the least development. So, he's just kind of there.
Liked how everyone on the team was fighting against Mesmro in different ways, with different levels of success.
Would have preferred a less drastic solution to stopping him, but we've established I'm not a grim and gritty guy.
Like Havok being in his classic suit, not sure how I feel about his 'ends justify the means' view of the team and their job.
Again, an interesting read. Despite my grumblings, I'm still reading, as you've got me curious as to where you are going with this odd quartet.

Thanks! I appreciate your thoughts. Let's tackle some questions you seem to have.
I enjoy Cypher as a leader for similar reasons, the most being that he's not an overt powerhouse. I feel that his particular power set would make him more of a tactician then anything else, and while he can operate in the field extremely well, he's personally more comfortable and more useful to the team as a whole acting as the glue that holds them together.
Daken will certainly be different than Wolverine, to the extent of which will be revealed as time marches on. I plan to delve into M2K history for his character development, so stick with me for a bit.
Xorn - honestly, I think she just looks awesome, and I've always loved the idea of someone being too powerful for their own good. She has some secrets as well that come from M2K history and when I reveal who she really is I hope it pays off. A bit of a gamble bringing her around in this way I think, so we'll see.
Morph hasn't gotten a lot of development yet, other than to allude to him working solo prior to Havok grabbing him for the team. To let a tiny kitten out of a very small bag, Morph will eventually be revealed as this one-man army who now has to fit into this team setting (kind of a theme in the book).
Don't like how Mesmero was handled? Well, stay tuned! Maybe you haven't seen the last of him! *wink*
Havok's perspective has changed, hasn't it? Perhaps that's not actually...wait! I've said too much!
Thanks for reading!

That's part of why my criticisms are kind of guarded, as it's obvious you are in the setting up stage of the story and the bits I'm seeing are just the first domino in the row.
Mesmoro gets better...? Wow! Gotta give Obamacare credit for covering a medical condition like that...

#3: This series messes with me yet I keep coming back. The line up shouldn't work and is made up mostly of characters that I've never had much interest in, yet I find myself worried about them in a tight situation. I'm never sure where David is going with stuff, but not in a confusing way and he keeps doing this bit where he goes 'So, we are heading over here...psych! No we aren't!'
and instead of annoying me, I find myself falling for it every time and then torn, as I'm interested in the new direction, but impatient because I really wanted to see what the other thing was going to be.
I was really looking forward to the train heist, but at the same time, how can I complain, when instead we are going to go hang out with space pirates!
This series is a weird jumble, I can't quite get a handle on it, but at the same time I'm eager for the next issue.
I'm entertained, and at the same time kind of impressed to be such an old, know it all fanboy and to find something so unpredictable.

Just chiming in to say I actually really dig the way this team is coming together. Cypher, Daken, Morph, and Xorn are such a weird mix, but in a cool way. As my reviews have said, I really want more Xorn! She's got such a cool design in the comics and is a natural mystery, especially given how there was a previous Xorn at M2K in X-Men Omega and X-Corp. I wonder if there's a connection?

Connection? Hmm...wait and see!
...but actually there isn't. HAHA! She's wearing that helmet for a specific reason, though.

X-factor #4: decent little bit of space opera. Always nice to see the Starjammers.
The good: Xorn: I like that her weakness is basically, she's too powerful. Interesting seeing her figuring out how to use her powers without killing her teammates.
Morph's one-liners didn't annoy me. Most actually got a chuckle out of me.
Love the idea of a planet shared by the Kree and Skull. Makes me want to write something set in space just so I can borrow it.
The not as good: The reminding the readers what has come before paragraph was clunky. Felt like a stumble in the middle of the fight scene.
Brood have ships and tech? Is this new or have I not been paying attention?
While I like the character bits and how you are fleshing these guys out, Morph's reaction to Doug killing felt overdone. If Doug had killed something that didn't look like a nightmarish killing machine I could understand, but because of the nature of the bad guys, it didn't entirely work for me.
Still good stuff. I thought this story was weird, being inserted into the middle of anther arc, but now I wish it had been longer, as I'm a sucker for super heroes in space.

I knew the Brood had ships last time I read any thing about their ships was they are living like space whales or something like that. Tech not so much. Brood are like those bugs from Starship Troopers they just invade, take what they want, and destroy along the way.

Honestly, I have no idea if the Brood have ships or not, and what kind of ships they have. But it makes sense for them to be able to get around, right? Just gloss over that poorly researched plot point...
Thanks for reading! Morph's reaction to Cypher being so calmly vicious was supposed to show a change in personality for the character since his resurrection. Cypher was never really a killer. Now that he's come back, he seems to have no qualms about killing the bad guys, not because they're mindless space bugs, but because they're just the opposition. That's something I hope to delve into more in the future.

Good to hear I'm not the only one unsure about this brood tech thing. I was more curious then bothered.
Not as up on my X-titles, so there are holes in my knowledge.
