Happy memorial day folks!
Wooo! These days you all can see that I'm VERY excited about how well Marvel 2000's doing (as nerdy as that is). Maybe it's the summer crunch, or maybe it's the gradual momentum that the site's been rebuilding since Brent and I took on the Editors-in-Chief mantle around nine months ago, but things are really cookin'!
We've got a pretty good size release for you all today, and yeah, yeah, before any of you go on your "M2K's all about quantity not quality" rap, let me cut you off at the pass. This week's release contains not just some of the best writers at M2K, but some of the best writers in fan fiction, period! Jason Eberly, Daniel Ingram, Barry Reese, Jeff Melton, and Brad Horton are kickin' some serious ass this week. And hey, I don't do too bad of a job with a pen either, if I do say so myself. Even Ben Wolfert, a brand new face to M2K, is showing us a spirit and energy in his writing that's sure hard to find elsewhere!
Enough of the blabbering. On with the releases!
*****
Daredevil #15 - Wilson Fisk's health isn't what it once was and it's slowly begun to effect his influence of power over the criminal underworld! Will a visit from his son, Richard Fisk, be exactly what the doctor ordered? Plus, The Owl and The Vulture are moving in on the Kingpin's territory! What a tumultuous time to be The Man Without Fear... and Matt Murdock, if you catch my drift! Written by Jason Eberly!
Read it at: m2k.omegacen.com/dd/DD15.html
Force Works #25 - The "Siege of Metro City" races towards it's powerful conclusion! Who lives? Who dies? The end of an era is here, and it won't go silently into that good night! Be here for this 25th issue spectacular! Written by Daniel Ingram!
Read it at: m2k.omegacen.com/forceworks/FW25.html
Iron Man #33 - In the wake of an unprovoked assault on Happy and Pepper, Iron Man makes it a point to track down those responsible - Firebrand and his employer, The Black Lama! Plus, Jocasta gets catty with Rumiko. Meow! Written by Barry Reese!
Read it at: m2k.omegacen.com/ironman/IM33.html
Marvel Fantasy #2 - Young Scott Summers arrives at the Strange Academy for The Magically Gifted, only to find that the headmaster isn't actually there to receive the package he's come to deliver! He does, however, meet someone else with an intriguing mind... Written by Ben Wolfert!
Read it at: m2k.omegacen.com/marvelfantasy/MF02.html
Thor #18 - Accompanied by his stepbrother, Loki, and the former herald of Galactus, the Silver Surfer, The Mighty Thor heads to the Alexandrian star system in search for another former herald of Galactus, Firelord! In the wake of his death, Galactus's former ship must be found before it falls into the wrong hands - but what cosmic forces will the trio find between them and the Devourer of Worlds's ship? Written by Jeff Melton!
Read it at: m2k.omegacen.com/thor/MT18.html
X-Corp #23 - Distraught over the mysterious illness that's overcome his wife, Archangel heads to Mojoworld with Dazzler and Xorn to confront the only person who may be able to help her! But at what cost? Written by Brad Horton!
Read it at: m2k.omegacen.com/xcorp/XC23.html
X-Men #24 - The X-Men launch an assault on the Brotherhood's base of operations, as well as a duel rescue operation with the lives of their teammates and Senator Lancaster's family on the line. Plus, Gambit takes his opportunity to take down the Grey King once and for all! Written by Cory Wiegel!

And believe it or not, I have about seven more issues that I could have released today!
Oh yeah, and I want to take this moment to give a special mention to four guys who've been a big help to Mike and I with M2K these past few weeks. First off, major props to Brent Lambert and Jeff Melton - two of Mike and I's Assistant Editors at M2K. With things picking up lately, these two have been an incredible help to us not just by editing and HTMLing issues, but also by helping some of our newer writers out with continuity and proof reading. You guys have been a big help!
And everyone be sure to give David Golightly and Daniel Ingram a pat on the pack (as well as a six pack of beer if you got one) for all of the help they were in fixing all of the hard links M2K had in preparation for the big move. The site's now up and fully operational at m2k.omegacen.com and as it has been for the past few weeks, our message board's buzzing with activity at: corywiegel.proboards91.com.
That's all for now, folks! See ya next time.
