Curt Fernlund recently sent me the complete JLA/Avengers crossover from way back, the awesome event that was shared between M2K and JLU2001. With JLU2001 now gone, we'll be hosting all of the issues once I get them moved over to the new site (likely as a cyberback edition).
It got me thinking, wouldn't it be fantastic to try this again? Perhaps with another DC site? FauxDC comes to mind, although Dale Glaser is really hard to get a hold of. Mike Hintze says he wants to get DC Infinity off the ground again in April.
If we were able to coordinate, should it be Avengers versus the Justice League again? Or maybe we could do something like X-Men versus Doom Patrol? Marvel Knights versus Gotham Knights? Another Amalgam mash-up?

I thought it was odd this was in the X-Men Branch.
I personally would read the hell out of Bucky/Robin War. Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Tim Drake, Stephanie Brown and Damien Wayne against James Barnes, Fred Davis, Jack Monroe, Rick Jones and Rikki Barnes.

I have been planning on something like that for JLU 2001 when I did World's Finest, by doing a Batman/Spider-Man team-up for the first arc. I had this thought of maybe we can do crossover projects for the Alternate imprint with marvel characters team-up with other comic/TV/movie properties. For example Family Guy/Spider-Man, or X-Men VS. JLA, or even Slapstick meets The Mask. I like to see this as a new title for writers to pick one Marvel series or character and pick a non-Marvel property and let the juices flow. That's just me.

Sounds very cool, but I'd most likely have just be an eager reader, as what I laughingly call my writing schedule is pretty full.
Though, if that X-men/Doom Patrol thing is both original versions, that'd be pretty tempting...

This is in the X-Men Branch because I was originally thinking of X-Men versus Doom Patrol, then the thread got away from me.

I think an old-style tale with 60's X-Men and Doom Patrol would be cool. Leave out the inter dimensional travel, go the way of the old crossovers with the characters just running into each other, maybe that Professor Xavier and The Chief have known each other for years. General Immortus wants to experiment on mutants to extend his life, Magneto attempts to recruit the Doom Patrol into his crusade. An argument about who took the name first has Beast Boy consider a change, Marvel Girl tries Mento's helmet, reawakening the telepathy Professor X suppressed.
Or advance a few years, go both teams from Grant Morrison's runs. Beast takes a walk down Danny the Street, Emma Frost includes Rebis in her "sessions" with Cyclops, The Chief teams up with Professor X/Cassandra Nova.

Dale would definitely be down for it with Faux DC. He's looking to drive up some interest right now. I can help you get in touch.

I actually already talked to him and he basically said sure...provided that he didn't have to do anything other than post the stories, meaning he could not help with coordination, writing, and conception.
