I enjoyed this, a nice mix of characters on the team who in the normal MU you wouldn't really see together like Xorn, Daken and Morph. Any two would be a buddy comedy but all 3 is going to be a great dynamic (Superboy, Robin and Impulse from Young Justic spring to mind).
Anyway to totally 'get' everything and look at it properly I'll probably have to go back and read the last two issues but I like some of the ideas/ seeing mutants politicking with big business etc rather than just smashing stuff.
I'm liking the use of Cypher, ever since he came back in New Mutants a few years ago I thought he was an awesome character crying out for some awesome character work...which he gets in fan fiction, woo!
I always like a bit of swashbuckling from Corsair so I'm onboard for the next arc!

Thanks! I'm really enjoying writing this series and have plans to stay on long term, if for nothing else because the X-Men Branch needs some love!
For the cast, I just grabbed four random mutants that I thought would make for an eclectic team. Their personalities butt up against one another quite a bit, so I'm having fun trying to actually get some cohesiveness to their operations.

(this is a review)
Eclectic isn't the word for this team, Dave. You have a killer in Daken The comedic slapstick in Morph power in Xorn and Cypher who is trying to pull this team together though he is struggling with it, which all things considered he should be considering when he died and his return. Cypher was with a bunch of people learning powers but when he was around he was looked down upon, mainly by Sunspot, due to his passive powers. Fast forward years later and he is probably one of the most powerful person on the team. His development as leader I see as critical as his persona doesn't really fit forcing his hand as leader - especially with the team that is assembled before him.
The Game of Thrones joke was funny. Drop in humor was always hard for me but you do it well with Morph
And of course Corsair. Its good to see the swashbuckler around especially with t he release of Imperial for space titles. This team more reads like a fanfic version of the Facts of Life.

Thanks! I appreciate the review. I really like the potential of Cypher, although if I'm being honest I'm only going to keep him on the team long enough to really pull him through the ringer. Once I break him down enough, I'll rebuild him to a decent point and send him on his way. I'd like X-Factor to bring in some new members and have real consequences for the current line-up, which may result in roster shake ups.
