I'm going to be completely honest. At Marvel, I never really stray too far out of the X and Heroes Branches of the universe... but at M2K, there's always been a different feel to it. It's feel more united.
Ghost Rider #2 Travis Hiltz has done wonders developing this title. In the second issue, his Johnny Blaze is the Johnny Blaze I like. The non-screwed up good guy with a supernatural prowess unmatched. With Johnny stumbling upon an accident which in turn was really a hijacking, you were able to see a few great things in Travis' Johnny. One, Johnny's sense of humor and good well-being. Two, the Ghost Rider is strong with this one! It makes you wonder if the Ghost Rider isn't really living thru Travis himself!
Johnny Blaze investigates the wreck and discovers the hijacking. What's nice about Travis' Ghost Rider is that he's not just battling Supernatural beings and is branching out. Aqueduct's reaction to Johnny Blaze's humor cracked me up. I found myself wanting more after finishing this issue. I can't wait to see more Ghost Rider from Mr. Hiltz!

Thanks for the kind words. Not a traditional GR fan, so I was worried that my take might not click with fans, as I can't sustain grim and gritty for very long and tend to veer more into quirky. I'm hoping that using the four Ghost Riders it'll keep me interested to stick around for the long haul, as well as giving a chance for every one to come to the series through 'their' Ghost Rider and hopefully stick around for the other three.
