Happy One Year Anniversary to me!
Yep. Though it may seem like longer to some or not long enough for others, I've been an Editor-in-Chief at Marvel 2000 for one year today! It feels like yesterday that David Wheatley passed the torch on to Brent Lambert and I, hoping that we could re-instill the sense of creative energy and drive that made Marvel 2000 the World's Best Fanfic Site, and I hope we haven't let him - or the rest of you - down!
This week, we've got quite the release lined up. I wanna personally thank Jason Eberly, Brent Lambert, Ben Wolfert, Matt Hrubey, Kristi Manchester, and last but certainly not least David Golightly for joining me in this mini nerd-celebration of mine. Plus, I'd love it if everyone extended a round of applause to the other writers who've helped M2K become the success it was once again (Chris Munn, Curt Fernlund, Jeff Melton, Steve Crosby, Barry Reese, and Daniel Ingram stand out of mind at the moment). Thanks a lot, guys! I couldn't have done it without you - and if I could have it'd have been a little tougher.
Now on with the releases!
*****
Avengers #45 - The X-Men's very own Scott Summers (Cyclops) and his wife, Jean Grey-Summers (Phoenix), arrive at the Avengers Mansion to help several wounded heroes just in time for the Lords of Humanity's brutal attack! Who are these villains and what do they want? Written by Brent Lambert!

Black Widow #13 - What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas...and so might the Black Widow. Her venture into the luckiest city in the country may end with two puncture holes in her throat as Natasha faces off something that goes bump in the night. Espionage is one thing, but can she tackle a swarm of vampires? Written by Jason Eberly!

Fallen Angels #32 - Genosha's one busy place of late! Elias Bogan continues to pull Robert DaCosta's strings, Exodus and Ever share a talk regarding their respective business within Genosha, and the latest incarnation of the Fallen Angels attempt to come together as a team in time for a demonstration before Genosha's leader, Magneto! But what happens when an unexpected new foe emerges in the distance? Written by Brent Lambert!

Marvel Fantasy #4 - Young Scott Summers has heard the tales of the weird Dr. Strange and his Academy, but he'll find out for himself as he finally comes face to face with not only the sorcerer but the king as well! And that's it for this week! Hopefully you've all been enjoying my tenure as Editor-in-Chief because I know I certainly have. Even better, things should really pick up for the site now that I've got Daniel Ingram and David Golightly backing me up as new my Co-Editors (three times a charm)! Thanks everyone, and enjoy the release!
