Dc has cancelled the Flintstones and I'm strangely unhappy about that.
Odd series that shouldn't work, or at least I should hate, but had a surprisingly sweet emotional core and fascinated the writer part of my brain with what they were trying to do.
I think we are seeing the slow death of the HB comic line, and we will soon be back to just Scooby Doo, which is a shame because there were some gems hidden amongst the crap.

Travis, There is a Jetsons book coming soon, and Snagglepuss and Ruff and Ready as well. Plus Future Quest is coming back in August, and I hope they finally add Jessie Bannon and or Captain Planet into this one.

Thrilled to hear about FutureQuest. Mildly interested in the Jetsons
Horrified to hear about Snagglpuss and Ruff and Reddy as the short intro stories were painfully bad.

The Jetsons short had an interesting concept, but I just wonder what they'll do with the series beyond that little introduction. And I'm sorry, but why is George Jetson freakin' hot in this series?

The Jetsons could work if it followed the example of the recent Flintstones series.
Wait and see.

So, since HB bought out Ruby Spears would Thundarr the barbarian qualify as an HB character...?
Just...y'know, asking for a friend.

I would probably say yes and since they are owned by the same people now. It should be easy to introduce them since it’s kind of a different setting then most other shows.

Thundarr VS. Galtar and his Golden Lance. Who remembers that show?

I remember reading that Jack Kirby worked on Thundarr, so maybe a crossover with Cadmus and the Newsboy Legion.

You could start a drinking game based on when you spot a Kirby designed character in Thundarr...course you'll be in a coma by episode five...
Loved this show as a youngster and it is still a lot of goofy fun.

Okay, DC just announced another batch of DC/HB one shots and they look horrendous...!!!
Definitely going to have to write some HB stories for the anthology, just to soothe my soul and remind people are far off model DC is going with these characters.
Man, I miss FutureQuest!

I'm working on a Batman/Scooby-Doo project for the Elseworld imprint, but I might change it to a mini series just to get the other imprints moving.

I'm kind of tempted to do a quick 'Flintstones Meet the Jetsons' story, if only to correct something I felt the DC Jetsons mini-series goofed on.

I have a long list. Think I'd like to alternate between HB super heroes and funny animal?Comedy characters.
I want to write the Herculoids, but I also want to write Peter Potomus.

My list is relatively short, and pretty much stuck in the 80's. Pound Puppies, Fantastic Max, Midnight Patrol and Yogi's Funtastic Treasure Hunt pretty much top the list, and if we got to fold in the Ruby Spears stuff then I'd take a crack at Mr. T, Turbo Teen or Rubik the Amazing Cube.
