I just made a thread for Hanna-Barbera reboot, and non-DC properties that could become part of a new imprint. I had this idea for a great HB reboot title after watching a Watch MoJo top 10 about Famous Cartoon Ghosts:
FUNKY PHANTOM: Kids who watched this cartoon Spirit of 1776 knows that is was before the Scooby era began. Mudsy, a ghost from 1776 is freed from a grandfather clock by a trio of teens and their bulldog, and now solve mysteries and confront costumed villains. The Funky Phantom did come back in Harvey Birdman and Scooby-Doo: MI, but if he was rebooted in the DC styled way he would be sort of linked in the way of Paranorman and Supernatural while still learning about the 21st century after death.
SCRAPPY-DOO: What happens when a celebrity is not needed anymore? That what happens to Scrappy-Doo after years of bashing and torment by not only fans but Mystery Inc. themselves. Now Scrappy is finally going to make a major comeback...with his own reality show that might save him or put him "to sleep."

I could see TC writing Scrappy Doo since it is well known that he is a fan of the puppy power!! Lol.

I would love to do something with Scrappy, maybe by reviving HB's version of the Pound Puppies with him ending up in Katrina's dog pound and hooking up with Cooler and the gang to cause some mischief.

I like that idea, Tobias. I would like to see Scrappy form a merger with Goober and The Ghost Chasers as rivals of Mystery Inc. If Josie and The Pussycats could be used for a future Scooby-Doo team-Up story, maybe we'll get to see a meeting of Archie and the Gang and Sabrina interacting with MI.

I like the idea of Scooby and the gang going to Riverdale, just for the Shaggy/Jughead team up.
and I can see Scrappy hitting the skids and becoming a down on his luck noir-style PI.
I must say how impressed I am that as we talk about doing a HB imprint, seeing the characters everyone is latching onto. It's fun to see the enthusiasm. Makes me feel better about my Peter Potomus obsession.

I've always had a love for 80's HB. Scrappy, Pound Puppies, Richie Rich, Fantastic Max, Yogi's Treasure Hunt, etc. I'm really surprised that so many people want to redeem Scrappy, lol. Usually anyone I talk to has a deep hatred for him, despite Scrappy having the show from cancellation. Without Scrappy, the show would probably be living in obscurity with Jabber Jaw, Speed Buggy and the rest.

I kinda liked the idea they had in Mystery Inc when they reintroduced Tom, Tub, and their pet seal Scooby and their underwater submarine Moby. I could see them doing an underwater exploration thing dealing with problems on the worlds oceans. Since their dads were tied to Sealab 2020 I figure the boys would need a body guard and that role could be filled by the newly trained government operative Jessie Bannon. I could see them teaming up with Johnny Quest and his crew at some time as well.

I dislike Scrappy as much as the next guy, but the idea of 'redeeming' him or finding a story for him appeals to the writer part of my brain.
I have this perverse bit in my brain where I ponder if I could write a story for a character I don't particularly like.

Even Seth MacFarlane hated Scrappy. Remember the Family Guy episode "Meg Stinks?" Brian had a nephew named Scrappy Brian who got killed by a raptor, and it was one of my favorite epiosdes.

That should be the first major DC2K event, "Legends of Scrappy".

Be nice if HB is going to concentrate on the funny stuff rather than the super heroes, that they made it a coherent little all ages universe.
Atom Ant, Hong'Kong Phooey and Secret Squirrel would make for a nice little super hero corner.
Quickdraw, Ricochet Rabbit and Huckleberry Hound are all westerns
Frustrates me no end when these companies have so much potential and they are leaving it all on the shelf.

Well, Snagglepuss is getting a DC ongoing soon, and it looks like Augie Doggie and Doggy Daddy will at least guest star.

Anyone seen the Robot Chicken sketch with Yogi Bear doing Power Rangers? If DC can do a decent Yogi reboot, with Yogi and Boo-Boo as these two talking bears that escape a special lab and start eating human food. Ranger Smith would be the only person to know that Yogi can talk, and unlike the original show, Yogi has other plans than Smith. With the likes of Cindy Bear, and Dick Dasterly/w Muttley appearing in the series in bigger roles and H-B characters making cameos.

Well, Snagglepuss is getting a DC ongoing soon, and it looks like Augie Doggie and Doggy Daddy will at least guest star. Yeah, but it's going to be a 'clever and ironic' take. I just want everyone to stop trying to impress critics and just write a story. People are too focused on fixing things that aren't broken and putting their stamp on a property and actually telling a fun story is almost an after thought.

How about a Teen Titansesque series, but with Boo-Boo, Augie Doggy, Scrappy, Tyke, whatever Jerry's nephew's name is, and one or two others?
