X-men: Green: I appreciate X-unlimited giving spotlight stories to characters, but there was not much info in this story to get a handle on a cast I'd never heard of, so when their plan turns out to be kind of dumb and it ends on a 'to be continued', but doesn't tell me where, I start to wonder why did I bother reading this? Interesting idea, but the execution was a mess.
She-Hulk: great art, an attempt to fix Jen's status quo and they brought back Jack of hearts. At the same time, this story is moving at a snail's pace and Jen hasn't actually done any lawyering and very little super-heroing.

If you want a better review of X-Men: Green, then watch the Linkara video on it. As for me, it was blatant use of a fan favorite character and turn her into a somewhat eco terrorist is the most stupid Marvel did. With heroes and anti-heroes like Swamp Thing, Captain Planet, Animal Man, Poison Ivy, and Widget the World Watcher doing parts for the planet, doesn't mean turning a mutant girl who cares for the planet into a nutjob Greenpeace reject.
If you wanted to do a decent story about helping the environment, then fine. Just don't making into a mind blown PSA right out of the 90's

Just don't making into a mind blown PSA right out of the 90's The idea of the team is interesting, but nearly every decision made by the cast was stupid, and since there was little build up/intro of the cast, all I saw was the stupid. Shame, but the new X-era is starting to make all the same mistakes of the old era. Shame, as there's lots of great ideas here, but everyone seems to want to write game of thrones with eye-beams.

Batman: Fortress: When is this set? The references are all over the place and it's really distracting.
Decent idea but it is doing a lot of acrobatics to make this story fit some sort of continuity, I just can't figure out which one.
X-men: Red: I get politics and I get running the world is hard, but every single member of your cast being up to something is just stupid. Is there a single X title where the people in charge aren't awful or stupid? This is getting exhausting.

Book of shadows: Hey, Valiant comics still exists! A decent first issue where all the Valiant occult characters team up. We are given enough info to know who everyone is and there's a solid story.
I'm actually impressed.
Galveston: Pirates meet cowboys. Great idea, really uneven art.

Seven Swords: great idea that might make a decent movie, but is really uneven as a comic. D'artanigan is the last musketeer, and he needs to gather a new team of swords men, from literature and history, to stop an evil, occult plot. Fun, but it feels like the writer didn't read the books half the cast came from.
Be fun to do a DC version of this.
SWORD: you can't treat a character's heel turn as a big deal when every character is up to something and almost everyone is awful. It's not a dramatic moment, in the current X-status quo, it's Tuesday.
Just wish there were more writers that just wanted to tell the story, and not just play politics and make everyone flawed to the point of unlikable/bad at their job.

Miracleman #0: Nice to see Neil and Mark are going to tell their MM story, but everything else just gives the impression that marvel has no idea what else to do with Miracle man, so all those variant covers are just sad and annoying. Great art though.
Superman: Space Age: gorgeous art and some interesting ideas, but the heavy handed foreshadowing and so much of the story beats, feeling like retreads of stuff we've seen before, it all feels a bit dissatisfying. So many interesting ideas, but the whole is leaving me with not much interest in #2 and/or wanting to write my own histo-superman fanfic.

Got done reading Godzilla Vs Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers TPB. All I have to say without spoilers is Godzilla and Power Rangers kicking ass!
DC Vs Vampires Vol 1: Better than just another superhero vs zombie comic story. Without going into spoilers: DC finally did a decent non-canon horror comic that isn't another zombie cash cow, like Walking Dead or another crappy live action Resident Evil movie. They took the heroes of the DC Universe and mixed in The Lost Boys into the story. Like I said, I'm not going to spoil.
Batman/Scooby-Doo Mysteries Vol 1 A: I liked the first half of the first volume. Plus, it was interesting that we got A Pup Named Scooby-Doo crossover in one of the stories. I'm hoping the new series that's out will finally do a DCAU crossover to pay tribute to Kevin Conroy, even do one with Batman Beyond.

I was thinking of checking it out, but crossover minis are a crapshoot. Have to track it down.

Photon: really good first issue, setting up Monica Rambuae a solo comic.
Wildcats: Like the team, but this is a mess. What is the status quo for these characters?
Stargirl: Lost Children: decent follow up to the spring break special. Much better than the new JSA comic.

Given that I liked the Power Rangers/TMNT, the four Batman/TMNT crossovers, and the Power Rangers/Justice League one gave me a chance that comic crossovers can be good again. It's like when Batman Vs Predator series, Sonic the Hedgehog/Mega Man, Archie/Batman, and Tarzan vs Predator were good comic crossovers. Archie Vs Predator 1 & 2 was just meh to me, as it had potential to be a good crossover until the sequel decided to send Betty and Veronica with a Predator version of Archie into the Riverdale universe and mix in the Archie Horror universe. Why?!

The current Moon Knight series is quite possibly the best MK comic the character has ever had. The new annual is brilliant and sets up some great ideas for another marvel character.

Read a bunch of Gotham City PD comics and now want to do a kind of weird police procedural, but in a different comic book city. Be fun to do a similar thing but set in Central City or Metropolis.

I feel like it might be fun to do a Mythological Procedural with the Amazons, investigating some unusual crimes on the Island.

Makes me crazy that all we ever see is Gotham.
