Junkyard Joe: Wow, keep Geoff Johns away from time travel and huge events and he can write some really solid stuff. Reads like if DC did a Vertigo version of the GI Robot.
Wasp: Some of the new status quo stuff is baffling, but the two Wasps are well written and there's great use of marvel history.
Danger street: can't decide if I like this or not. Like the idea, but King doesn't seem to know what to do with half cast, and the ones he does have a plan for feel out of character.
She-Hulk: want to like this more than I do. We finally get answers and most of them are pretty dumb.

Fantastic Four: Not loving the over-arching 'A bad thing happened!", but enjoying the solo stories and slow build of the new status quo. would love to do a FF mini made up of 4 solo stories.

Batman 89: is this the third Burton movie we were supposed to get? Maybe...couple modern Batman references make me doubtful. Is it better than the third Batman movie we got? Oh hell yeah. Fun what if that makes me wish the Burton Keaton team had done all five Batman movies and that Billy Dee had gotten to be Two-face. And makes me want to write stories set in the movie-verse.
Decent art.

Billy Dee did become Two-Face in the Lego Batman Movie.
As for a universe set in the Batman '89 films, I would like to see Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, and Bane become more serious villains than what we gotten in the Joel side of the series. I would give Bane and Ivy better origins than using Venom to create them. Bane is an intelligent mastermind, not a muscle goon. Ivy isn't a sex object, she's an eco-terrorist.
Batman and Robin maybe crap, but it deserves to have a better story than ice puns and turning Batman into a joke.
I would fix Batman and Robin and get rid of Bane, ice puns, make Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy more dark and tragical villains, and have Batgirl be Gordon's daughter.

I read Archie Vs the World and have to say it was a waste of a read. It's not the story, it's the length. There wasn't enough meat on the story than just the usual 24-page comic if it was done as a 46 page one or a limited series. A mini would have worked better to expand on the cast more, like how Sabrina spilt into three ages of herself, did more with Josie and the Pussycats, even brought in more obscure Archie Comics characters from the past for cameos.
Started getting these Marvel omnibuses in digital format like New Warriors, Spider-Man, X-Men, F4, and Wolverine. Plan to get more down the line.

Anybody out there can recommend any good Riri Williams comics?
I'm interested in the character and want to like her, but the couple comics I've tried were not great. Where's the good stuff?

MURDERWORLD: I liked the concept to a Murderworld limited series, but I wish Marvel went back to doing titles with R rated tones with this series when they had their MAX imprint. Sure, I could see the return of the M rated Punisher and some of the horror based Marvel characters getting into more blood and gore territory. But Murderworld should have been a more M rated title, as it would have focused more on the contestents and not using the in Marvel U cannon. I would like to see the MAX imprint come back, maybe do a new Howard the Duck series even do a non Marvel cannon Punisher series.

Wasp: this might even be better than the Ant-man mini
Moon Knight: not totally caught up. Feels like they are setting some stuff up and while some of it doesn't thrill me, I trust this writer.
She-Hulk: One more issue and I think I'm done. This thing is a mess and taking forever to do nothing.
Tim Drake: Robin: like giving Tim his own place, cast etc and the focus on him bering a detective, but I do not like this art and, because it's a bat book, e very other page is an info dump about something from the 116 other bat-titles. Gonna give it a 3 issue try out.
Sgt. Rock: it's fine. Not terrible, a harmless, fun read. Just feel I should like this more than I do. Rock still feels like the worst choice for a DC WW 2 character to be fighting zombies.

Couple more:
Photon: Al Ewing can write trippy and cosmic like nobodies business, but his attempts to make Monica talk like a 'Modern, black woman', sounds like every black woman friend in a TV show.
Avengers Beyond: the Avengers sound good and I like the idea of Beyond being treated like Marvel's Q, but this keeps referencing other Avengers stories I never read and it's distracting.
Star Girl and the lost children: probably the best thing DC is putting out right now. Really fun.

Amazing Spider-Man # 26: I don't know if I should quit reading Spider-Man now after what just happened, thanks to the leaks. I'm not going to spoil what happened if you already know. I hated this storyline and how they treated Peter and MJ. That also goes for Dark Web, as I like a usual Spidey/X-Men team-up story. But they don't mention where the Avengers and the F4 are when this chaos in New York is happening. At least give them some reason where they are than just the stupid "off planet" excuse.
I don't want to be a troll here, but Marvel is doing the "lets promote our newest MCU movie to tie into the comics" trope. Stop. I didn't care for Civil War 2 and Secret Invasion 2 just to promote the new MCU flick/series. Just stop Marvel.
Spidey deserves better.

Yeah, marvel comics has done a pretty crappy job at trying to cash in on the MCU.
I like that if you have a movie or TV show, you get a comic, but past that it's been a mess.

There is clearly a lack of communication between the divisions. I remember for Captain Marvel a comic mini established that Carol’s mother was Kree, and her name was really Car-Ol or some such, because they thought she was going to be half-Kree in the film.

I'd forgot about that mini. Liked the bits about Carol trying to reconnect with the small town she grew up in. The alien stuff was painfully bad.

I appreciate that Dawn of DC is resetting the DCu to a happier, less edge lord stays quo, but I picked up three #1 issues, for three separate series and all three used the exact same script structure...! Nobody even tried to do something different!
On their own, each issue was fine, but that is some of the laziest writing and/ or editing I've ever seen.
