Hey everybody I'm the new guy Jake and I came to this site to pitch a series based on Jason Todd leading his own team of Outsiders. Thankfully my pitch was approved so expect a #1 sometime this week! Feel free to chat it up with me on here and ask some questions about what to expect

I look forward to it. I just have one question. How are you doing?

Cool. I liked the idea of the Outlaws, but the writing in the comic was so painful.
Are you going with one of the comic series' line ups or a new team?

I'm actually going with an all-new team and sticking with the classic Outsider's name as the story is based around Batman wanting Jason to lead a black-ops team to handle missions he doesn't have the time to

I actually like the current run, don't know why he didn't just write this first instead of the other one.

So inquiring minds want to know...who is on the team? Creeper? Katana? Geo-Force? (I wasn't a big fan) - just curious

Hmmm, let me think, let me think...
So what drew you to Red Hood as a character, and how do you feel he relates to the DC2K Bat Family as a whole?
On a related note, excellent first issue, and I'm on board with Jason already, I loved his interactions with Batman, and I can't wait to see how it will evolve going forwards.

Review time! First, welcome to the 2K family, Jake. If you haven't read this issue than Im going to say that the length (4 pages) and simplicity of the issue easily gets washed aside by what I believe to be Jake's understanding of the mind of Jason. Its very easy to read but there are a lot of things actually happening. I thought Jason's talk with Bruce and Alfred were spot on, showing Jake knows the character. I may have to take on some of these traits as I try to always match a preset page limit with my work when it may just muddle the story. Im interested in the team but the issue mixes the two usual ways of how people write team books: either the fabric of the universe centered around a specific location where all the heroes meet and the more controlled manner of just selecting the team much like how JLA books are written. As stated above, there was only 3 sections to the story but it was well written and moved quite nicely. Ill definitely keep my eyes open for issue 2.

XD I identify with almost every member of the bat family in a different way. I’ve also loved how Jason’s temper has often cost him and wanted to pen a story where he finally learns to use it as a weapon in the best way possible. The idea here is that Batman needs a team and a leader for said team to push the envelope in places and at times he can’t, and Jason’s time as the Hood proves with the right push he can do exactly that

Just sent off a new issue of Red Hood! I'm trying to not make these massive fifteen page issues so you guys can digest them quickly. Kinda hard trying to figure out the length of each issue. Hopefully you guys enjoy next month!

Hopefully you guys enjoy next month! I do not usually try and write a certain amount of pages, I usually just write till I am comfortable to put a 'to be continued' at the end.
