Jake Hawkins is one of my favorite writers and Outsiders didn't disappoint. I will probably give it a Tookie nomination next year. This issue is insane with action. The Constantine appearance made Rob's voice from Comic's Explained say, "What!" The whole concept of Belle Reeve being under swarm and Waller and crew giving pardons just for the defense was very unique. I loved it. I’m enjoying Outsiders at the moment which surprises me since I am very picky when it comes to anything that has to do with Red Hood. Jake knows what he is doing that’s for sure and has a knack for pulling off a royal rumble type fight. American Nightmare was also an interesting read story wise but at some points it felt off as well.

I don’t think i did a good job explaining Jason’s motives in issue 1 of nightmare. Stay tuned as I dig a little deeper each issue

Because I'm an idiot who can't keep his email straight, please check out the freshly posted Batgirl #7 today. BATGIRL #7 - Nicholas Gage is a tough detective in Gotham, but even he needs a little help sometimes. But when the night is over, a surprise awaits our fearless heroine in the form of a new supporting character. Written by Emma Woods!

Well we have one additional review since a certain someone had this to say;
D.Golightly - Because I'm an idiot who can't keep his email straight, please check out the freshly posted Batgirl #7 today.
Now I would have said fool, since you know it was April Fools yesterday (as of the time of review) so let's find out if Batgirl get's fooled again or is happily 'fool-proof'.
Batgirl #7 - Batgirl I believe is Tookie winning and Emma Woods certainly is, so its not a surprise that I had high hopes for this issue (of a series I love). And while it arrived late and low under the radar, it was certainly worth the wait. Emma's writing style continues to evolve and always increases in quality in great big leaps and bounds. The actual issue was focused more on the support characters of the title, but since when was there anything wrong with that. And while I won't spoil the reveal at the end of the issue, I have to admit it fooled me as well, I honestly through that said character would be another character. Defiantly one worth waiting for and worth reading.
Rating - 9/10 (Fool-Proof)

No pressure then? XP
I keed, I'm super happy that you continue to enjoy Batgirl, and hopefully I will continue to deliver. Next Issue Stephanie has a train that she just can not afford to miss!!
There was primarily two things I wanted to accomplish this issue, one of which involved focused on Nicholas Gage, as much for my benefit as anyone's. During the first six issues of the 'Batgirl Rising' arc, he ended up being a little bit more of an inciting incident than a character unto himself than I would have liked, so this issue helped me a great deal to bring him into focus. Whilst he is a member of the 'supporting cast' and, as such, will be an extension to the needs of Batgirl's story, he still needs to have his own goals and motivations to make him substantial, and hopefully this is a step in the right direction.

As for the last page reveal, I'm hoping I surprised a few people, and hopefully it will shake up the expected status quo.

Given that last paragraph in your issue, I'm very interested in what happens next.

Given that last paragraph in your issue, I'm very interested in what happens next. I have to agree with Dave on this one. That last part was one of those “hmmm I wonder what’s gonna happen now” moments.

If anyone has some spare time and it's not too much bother is it possible to get some feedback on #1 of Truth or Dare. I'll return the favour if needs be.

I was very surprised when I just saw the original pitch. The first issue delivers, and focuses on what I always thought was a cool pair of characters from some of my favorite Nightwing stories.
Stuff like this is why I get into the site. This story is original, creative, and really does something new with characters that wouldn't otherwise get the spotlight.

Thanks for that, the review and comments are most appreciated.
Is there anything additional you want reviewed, because I'm pretty much coming to the conclusion that I'm seen as just someone who reviews other people's work, while desperately waiting for any kind of intrest regarding my own titles.

We all appreciate the reviews you post, and you're certainly seen as more than what you've just described. Just give some people time to get through the stories.

Well, I am super glad that I managed to peek both of your interests, as I am equally keen to pen what develops next!
During my initial ponderings, the 'more obvious' choice was at the top of my list for such a role as is presented here, but when I began mulling over alternatives, possibilities began opening up concerning multiple characters couldn't be ignored. That, and the nagging suspicion that the 'more obvious' choice had already been done, and while something new could certainly be done with it, it didn't strike me as being anywhere near as compelling from a writing perspective.
Besides, the 'more obvious' choice gets plenty of exposure elsewhere, let's share the love!
XD

I'm about halfway through this release, and once I've gotten to the end I'll be sure to post up some thoughts!!
Is the least I can do for all of the awesome reviews you're done for me, makes me feel all appreciated XD
Youse is just the faster reviewer alive, while I am a little ponderous in that regard, but feedback is coming.

TRUTH OR DARE #1 - Twin acrobatic sisters driven to a life of crime, under the control of Blockbuster, until something horrible happens. Now with one sister remaining to overcome a tragedy, will her life now steer toward crime...or revenge? Written by John Cheese! First off I have to say that I enjoy seeing someone use character or characters that you don’t ever really see get the spot light treatment especially a title of their own. I remember Double Dare from the old Nightwing comics working for Blockbuster like Lady Vic, Brutale, Shrike, etc and thought it was a shame when good villains are filed away for new ones when 52 came along. The story flowed along pretty nicely and the way the action was described made it fun to read. I look forward to seeing how the younger sister deals with not having her older sister around, you know besides murderous revenge that is. It took me a minute to figure out who the bad guys were from their descriptions but I figured it out. 😂 Reading it my mind begins to wonder if Margot is still out there some where and if Aliki will run into any other rooftop runners. Oh and Miss Morphines weapon makes me think of the fear injectors Scarecrow uses in the Batman Arkham games. All in all a good first issue can’t wait to see what number two has in store for us.
