Thanks for the review. As for what's happening in this reality, and the one Franklin's trapped in, they're two completely different beasts, although there will be some parallels between the two, which you'll see in upcoming issues of both NW and F4. As for the peril, yeah, that's going to get ratcheted up SEVERAL notches next issue when it's revealed just how deadly Doom's spawn is.

As promised, the reviews for Project Argent, Six Guns, and Villains for Hire. I always endeavour to return to the favour to those who read and review my work, although due to my trip this is slightly later than I’d intended. I hope you find the praise, and the constructive criticism, useful. Project Argent #8
So, this is it. We’ve reached our conclusion on this series of rag-tag group of obscure – and original – female adventurers. The adventures of Zawadi, Rosetta Stone, the all-new Silver Scorpion, Flintlock and Zombie Master have been thoroughly entertaining and I’m sad to see it go. The team continued to display how they can work alongside each other effectively despite their faults and flaws. I didn’t for a second believe Flintlock would betray the team, she’s a morally grey character but after all she’s been through with the Agents of Argent, even an outlaw has honour. Loved the little Sleeping Beauty reference. The murderer reveal was also a decent thread to leave, a hint that there’s more to come from these characters if not as a team. With the knowledge that I’m reading Six Guns next, I know I won’t have to wait long for the developments with Rosetta Stone and Flintlock. Similarly, there is a story with Silver Scorpion to develop and only Zawadi’s seems closed for now. I look forward to it all. One thing I will say is the importance of proof-reading work before it’s considered finished. Dave is the editor of the site but we should all edit our own work, partially to make his job easier but also because we want to present ourselves and our work in the best manner. Misplacing words such as ‘carried’ for ‘cared’ may be a small thing but when it happens, it draws from the story. Also, one exclamation mark is as effective as several. Just an aside really, as I still enjoyed the issue and series as a whole. Great job crafting this story. Six Guns #1
And here it is, the continuation of Flintlock’s story. I didn’t have to wait long at all. This is clearly a character that John has invested a lot of time and energy into developing and it shows. There’s nothing like a thirty hour time limit to up the ante of a story. I’m excited to learn more about Silver Sidewinder. Be they hero or villain, I enjoy strong female characters and John has shown that he can craft them. As the only Silver Sidewinder I could find in Marvel’s history was a male from the Old West, I presume this is a fresh interpretation. This was a strong start to the series, it was action heavy without giving away too much about these characters so we’re still intrigued into who they are and what they’re motivations are. As well as what exactly this device is. Villains for Hire #19 – “One Night in Madripoor”
Okay. So this is my first time reading this series and, being realistic, I’m not going to find the time to read the previous eighteen issues any time soon. So, this is a fresh start from me and it might take me a few issues to come to grip with who each of the characters are and the type of people they are. I do enjoy the seemingly random selection of this team, I know many of them in passing from the comics but it was very interesting to see them all operating as a unit. I enjoyed that, despite the dark subject manner, there is a distinct camaraderie and connection amongst the team. They may be villains, but they’re also people which is something writers often forget. I presume this has been developed over eighteen issues but it’s definitely a hook that makes me wanna come back. I also think this was a good use of the Serpent Society, who are often short-changed in their appearances, as they provided a viable threat. I’m definitely interested to see where the story of the Conspiracy and Sunset Bain goes. This issue could also have used a slight edit, there’s a mistake in the very first line and the word formidable is used twice in the first paragraph. Small things but something to watch out for when proof-reading the work.

Firstly I'd like to say thank you for the reviews Gavin, they are most appreciated. Secondly I'd like to apologise for the mistakes, while my written English is improving it very much remains my second language (Czech being my first) and I suspect writing these issues on my phone didn't help.
Project Argent #8 - Don't cry for me Argentina, a follow-up arc is in the works that not only cover Flintlock, Stone and Hannigan's story but also brings Zawadi and Silver Scorpion back into the fold. I'm glad you have been enjoying a series that started off as a kind of challenge, regarding the lack of female teams on the site. Honestly what's surprised me is who much people seem to have enjoyed the title, something that made ending the series at '8' a difficult thing to pull off. But as you've said, there is plenty more appearances for the five lead characters what with Six Guns, Nero and Hannigan and their appearance in Villains for Hire coming up, even before we get to 'Arc 2'.
Six Guns #1 - Thanks for the initial review of Six Guns!! Yes Silver Sidewinder is a female take on the ole west character and she is hopefully going to become important in another title (see below) by the end of the year. As for the time limit, I've been itching to write either a road trip of doom story or a good heist. Then I realised nearly every story I write is some form of heist and decided on the former.
Villains for Hire #19 - Actually for this iteration of the team you really only have to go back to #15 when Headhunter and co overthrew Crossfire to set out on their own. While I agree the characters featured in the title are obscure, it often means that canonically they have little to no personalities which makes them very easy to develop, especially Headhunter, Spear, Chemistro and Shockwave who have had that eighteen issues to develop. As for the Conspiracy, the answer of where this is all going is San Marino, but after that who knows.
Also Dan, it is most appreciated.

Six-guns: okay, I didn't realize that this built on stuff from your other projects, so I spent a couple pages going 'who the heck are these women? I'm a comic geek and have never heard of most of the cast."
That didn't stop me from enjoying issue one. I like flintlock and you've set up an intriguing story. Good action scenes. Don't know if it was intentional, but the amount of times people started to say what's in the briefcase but get interrupted was a cute running gag.
Couple gripes/constructive criticisms: Sidewinder is cool and badass, but also a knucklehead. Most of her gripes about the job, she caused.
In the confrontation at the convoy both women 'hiss' a sentence within two lines of each other.
reality warping = plot convenience: I like that the maguffin is something funky and cosmic, but unless it is aware and deliberately trying to help flintlock ( which would be cool. Sorry if I just blurted out a plot point) it feels clunky.
otherwise, you have a nice modern western/ action movie vibe going on and I'm looking forward to the rest of this story. Also nice to know there's more Flintlock to read about while I wait for issue two.

As for Silver Sidewinder, well she's tough and intelligent but also arrogant and lazy, hence why she's got herself into this mess. As for the case, let's just say there is a very cube shaped bomb inside it and leave it at that.
