Some knee-jerk reactions to the issues:
ACTIONS COMICS #15 - Truly an ensemble book. There's room for everyone here. I wouldn't mind seeing Chris get the spotlight, though, just because I don't really know anything about him.
BATGIRL #9 - No one gets you into a character's head-space like Emma. Brilliant.
LEGION OF DOOM #8 - How are they going to get out of this one? We know that the League won't be the same after this. This whole series has been a great preamble to shaking things up.
NEW GODS #2 - Very creative use of characters. I really enjoy their interactions.
NIGHTWING #1 - A solid start. Hopefully some surprises are coming down the pike. I love Nightwing when he's in Bludhaven.
TEEN TITANS #6 - I enjoyed the time lapse aspect of this story. Well done.
TRUTH OR DARE #3 - Stallion never really got his due, but John makes sure that the check is paid in full. I'd love to see more Stallion interacting with Aliki.

Here's some reviews!!! John's Legion of Doom: Wow! That was INTENSE. The battle was very well written and "choreographed". The twists however were beyond even that. I must say that I have reservations with the "big reveal" but I do applaud the risk it took to do it and am sure it will make more sense as we go forward. Saying that, I am very excited to see how it plays out and if there will even be a League left when it's over. John's Truth or Dare: Another example of my love of obscure characters! This one bastions one as the primary character no less! The mystery here is sublime and you really care about Dare's quest, the empathy is no less dulling or dulled by the brutality by which she goes about it. Can't wait to see more of her fiery rampage of revenge and what answers... or more questions... may be unearthed! First of all a big thank you for these reviews they are most appreciated. Thanks I really enjoy big scene battles and LoD gave me the perfect excuse to write one. Expect more twists as we head to the finale as well as a death (maybe even two) on the cards as well as some explanation on Superman's return and some more Prometheus (?) and 'Titan' scenes. Expect a lot more emotion from Aliki as we head to the second arc as well as minor bad guys Thrilldevil and Pathfinder to take centre stage.

More of Stallion's relationship with Margot will be explored soon, but for know he's going through knee surgery to recover from that ole 'football accident' he had. How are they going to get out of this one? Simples, they don't!

Here's some reviews!!! Tobias' Action Comics: Loved it, as I LOVE the Queen of Fables her brother is no different in that regard. I'm very curious about what powers the other boys have and if any of them are characters we'd already know. Also though it seems all their souls have been swapped, even the character of Tommy is having some regrets over this plan. As for the King's endgame... well the Legion of Doom may have beaten him to it, lol. Great job!! I was very tempted to name drop some of them, I just wasn't sure if it would affect other writers eventual using of them, although some of the boys in Neverland could be Sideways. the more obscure Omni, and other Z-listers that have fallen out of the DCU over the years. I will say this: If a writer feels that they want to tie this arc into a character's origin story, feel free to do so. There's at least 30 kids in Neverland currently, so saying "Oh, yeah, this is where this character got his start" wouldn't be out of the question. As for Tommy, the whole soul swapping thing is going to take a fun turn towards the end of the story.

Don't worry about Chris, lol, he'll be getting a storyarc of his own starting next issue that'll deliver a surprising revelation about the young Kryptonian that the Super family will accept and make Zod shun him even further.

The bat titles are just knocking everything out of the park these days. Emma you are a model of consistent greatness. And Tobias has had me itching to do something with Superman for so long

John you taught me a new word today. π I had no clue what Ibex meant till today because you used it in your review of Nightwing so I had to find out what it meant.

I really enjoy the way you write a team. The interactions between the leaguers is always captivating. It helps with the way I pen big scenes in BP

Nightwing #1 - With the two bat titles being so well crafted it looked as if JD Mathis's new Bludhaven based series has an uphill battle. Spoilers, the series is at least 80% Ibex, able to scale anything brilliantly. With the past history nod, the resetting of Nightwing in 'his city' and a somewhat enigmatic killer's introduction not to mention a dark gritty feel to the tale, this story has something for everyone. It even didn't feel like an #1, almost as if it had been built on something already existing, hopefully, the title will continue in this vein as Nightwing returns home. Rating - 9.5/10 (Fighting Fit) Thanks for the review, John. With Nightwing, I wanted to see Dick use his detective skills a little more in this first arc, and that is what it will take to solve this current case. I hope to continue the momentum with issue two coming soon.

JD's Nightwing: Was a lot of fun, I sometimes forget how many bat-family series we have here and I just marvel at how individual they all manage to feel regardless, lol (nevermind how they all navigate themselves around each other so seamlessly. Example being the real Alfred in Teen Titans with Tim and an Alfred 2.0 here with Dick, heh) Amy is a strong secondary protagonist and look forward to her meeting with NW, should be great back and forth. You kept the intrigue up without losing the fun, the Alfred AI I mentioned was an especially funny/cool moment If you liked what has been done with the Alfred 2.0 so far just keep watching for some future surprises when it comes to the Alfred AI. Especially when it comes to some of the AI code, Tim and Luke used in its creation. As for Amy she will be playing a helping hand as the story goes along especially after Nightwing is approached by the new Commissioner of the Bludhaven PD.
