So, who went? What did you get?
I'll post reviews as I read stuff.

Unfortunately, this isn't really a thing so much over here. My local comic shop doesn't/didn't do it. I'm interested in the Whedonverse one, as well as the usual DC/Marve. Do Aftershock/Black Mask have any titles this year?

Here we go:
Bloodshot: To be honest, I'd forgotten Valiant was still around. Some good stuff here. Fallen World's going on my list
Doctor Who: Cute, but fluffy and forgettable
Gilbert: Art Baltazar is the current king of all ages comics and this little adventure is just quirky and fun.
Phantom: Not a free comic, I got this out of the sale bin. Chuck Dixon writing the Phantom, how could pass up on it?

Couple more:
Teenage mutant ninja turtles: having not read much TMNT and...wow, has it gotten convoluted! Nice art though.
Blastosaurus: fun, bit of an Atomic Robo vibe. Trying a bit too hard to be funny and quirky. Can see how kids would like this.
Hellboy: think this was leftover from halloween, but still it had two short stories I'd never read before and it was free.
True believer: Conan the barbarian: First appearance of Belit, big, old school adventure and with the sale I got it for fifty cents.

I missed FCBD 20212, but my local guy had a big box of leftovers that he let me pick through, and so here are my thoughts and reviews:
Gilbert: The curious mysterious: Art Balthazar is the best all ages creator out there. Everything he creates should immediately be optioned for a cartoon and plush toys. So much fun to read his stuff.
Judge Dredd: I love me a good Dredd comic, but in this day and age a comic where the 'hero' is a fascist police officer, loses some of it's entertainment value.
Valiant: every FCBD I am reminded that Valiant is still a thing. Then I promptly forget, becuase I almost never see their stuff on the shelf. The new Ninjak looked fun. Think it'd be interesting to try and take these odds and end scharacters and try my hand at cobbling them together into a shared universe. Add that idea to my ever growing wish list.
More to come...

Few more:
World of Zorro: nice primer of the various Zorro comics out there, but since I've already read most of them, this was a bit of a let down.
Donald Duck: The classic Disney comics are a lot of fun, but I don't own many as they are pricey and hard to track down. This one shot had a collection featuring Donald and his nephews. It was fun.
X-men: one of those 'psychic makes vague predictions about the future' things, that gives us hints of future stories. Since I don't read half the X-titles it was confusing.
The back up is a preview for a mini called Dark Ages. It looked okay.

I'm not against FCBD, but the main comics don't treat the issue 25 as what the 25th issue means. As they do it as as regular issue. The 25th issue is meant to be a landmark issue that something big is happening, but now it's just a single issue. What's happening?

Last ones: Captain Harlock: nice recap of Harlock's story before starting a new adventure. Nice anime style art and Harlock's creator, Leiji Matsumoto has a Stan Lee style appearance in the story.
Jack Kirby: a biography of the King, done in comic book format. This issue shows Jack's childhood, some of his Golden age work and ends with him meeting a young Stanley Lieber. Really nice tribute/history. Looking forward to the rest.
Canuck Beyond: the publisher of the famous Canadian hero has partnered with Lev Gleason productions to combine Canadian heroes with some old GA characters. Clunky, but a decent attempt to create a universe and bring some old characters back.
