Hey gang,
I've decided to launch a project that collects, edits, streamlines, formats, and hopefully re-releases the two flagship X-Men titles that Marvel 2000 has hosted since the start of our little community (nearly twenty years ago!!!). The idea is to revisit all of these old issues, give them a good spit shine and polish, get them uploaded to the site (or somewhere else as needed), and hopefully make them more accessible to new readers. Considering that's in the ballpark of somewhere between 150-200 issues, you can imagine this is going to be quite the labor of love. I've decided to break down the areas of this project that I work on by "phases" based on the phases the books were going through at the time. As I make progress on each area, I'll provide some updates and ask for some feedback. Hopefully, this project renews some interest in M2K's long and rich continuity. If nothing else, it'll create quite the comprehensive archive for our past work.
For those who are interested in knowing how these flagship titles evolved by name, below's a simple breakdown:
Flagship #1: Uncanny X-Men → X-Men Alpha → X-Men Prime → New X-Men
Flagship #2: X-Men → X-Men Omega → X-Corp → Uncanny X-Men
I'll sticky this thread at the top of this branch and come back to it regularly as I update things. I'll post status updates and respond to questions and feedback in the thread, and maybe even just muse on some things, ask some questions, and maybe even make some requests. At one point I calculated how many issues we had recovered from the multiple server crashes and transfers, and believe it or not we were at about 93-94% recovery. Still, there are a number of issues still missing, so if anyone has access to anything ancient or knows where we can find anything ancient, please let me know!
So hey, with all of that out of the way, let's get to the project!
Read Order:
Uncanny X-Men #1 → X-Men #1 → X-Men #2 → Uncanny X-Men #2 → X-Men #3 → Uncanny X-Men #3 → X-Men #4 → Uncanny X-Men #4 → X-Men #5 → X-Men Annual #1 → Uncanny X-Men #5 → Uncanny X-Men Annual #1
Thread Edit Notes:
1.) I had to rewrite this whole post because I misclicked on one of the editing tools, it took me to a different page, and the back button just wiped everything out. Gah! Maybe that's a good thing, though. My rough drafts can be awfully wordy...
2.) Saved this second post in progress just in case!
3.) Added a read order for Phase 1.
4.) Rewrote Uncanny X-Men #5. Going to work on Uncanny X-Men Annual 2000 next. Working a little out of order because out of all of the missing issues these are the ones that lead to the formation of X-Men Alpha and X-Men Omega.
5.) About halfway through Uncanny X-Men Annual 2000.
6.) Completed X-Men Alpha #4 as an "untold tale" to start an ARC intended to wrap-up the loose plots from the original run.
7.) Made a new table for X-Men Alpha and X-Men Omega that includes the reformatted X-Men Alpha issues.
8.) Uncanny X-Men Annual #1 is completed. Renamed both annuals from "Annual 2000" to "Annual #1" avoid future confusion.
9.) Uncanny X-Men #1 has been rewritten.
10.) Uncanny X-Men #2 has been rewritten.
11.) Uncanny X-Men #3 has been rewritten.
12.) Uncanny X-Men #4 has been rewritten.

Read Order:
There are no crossovers between X-Men Alpha and X-Men Omega and the timelines roughly correspond, so a chronological order for both titles individually makes the most sense.
