Hold onto your butts’ people, it’s time for some Bonus Content for January!! Join us in celebrating M2K’s decades (DECADES) long history with the launch of X-MEN: LEGACY, a brand-new series that will recollect the origins of Marvel 2000’s band of Merry Mutants, the X-Men!! Remastered (in crystal clear 2D!!) for 2020, these invaluable issues had been recollected for your enjoyment for the first time in… a while… and it will be a (totally legit) crime if you were to miss out on discovering them for yourself!! It’s a verifiable blast from the past, so it’s best to be sitting down before you start reading!! Without further ado, ‘Death of a Dream’ begins here… Uncanny X-Men #1: marvel2k.weebly.com/uncanny-x-men-1.htmlX-Men #1: marvel2k.weebly.com/x-men-1.htmlX-Men #2: marvel2k.weebly.com/x-men-2.htmlUncanny X-Men #2: marvel2k.weebly.com/uncanny-x-men-2.html

What’s the story Cory? These are the stories and these are the reviews...
Uncanny X-Men 1: A somber start to a story that shows off (across all four parts) just how dark the X-Men’s world is. With references to where the timelines diverged, this title more than any other I’ve reviewed feels like part of the actual Marvel cannon. Not only does the issue set the story it frames our characters well, ready for the coming onslaught ahead.
X-Men 1: Its all too common for Professor Xavier to be shown as a mutant Ghandi, but this version feels more like a villain. With cameos of Onslaught near the end, I do wonder how in control Professor X is. We also get the jumping off point (I assume) for Fallen Angels which is my favourite X title.
X-Men 2: Villains ahoy, but who is pulling the strings? Probably my favourite if this X release due to the interweaving of all the issues that have come prior to this one. Also part of me wondered if there was a Dark Beast/Sublime cameo nestled in there. All in all a great read and one I recommend.
Uncanny X-Men 2: The Shadow King strikes, with references in the previous issue a new foe emerges from the mind of one of the X-Men. The whole takeover of the mansion mirroring sunset was well done and caused equal parts drama and dread. I look forward to seeing how the X-Men deal with their new foe and his clone army, as well as Professor X’s own demons.
