And this in the Third Age it was written that from the Plague Lands, a new ruler would emerge adorned in the fanciest of hats. And this new ruler would face many hardships...not least a reviewer who ran out of coffee three weeks ago and has had about four hours of sleep in the last two days. Still with titles to review I do my duty as master reviewer and give my two cents. Will these two titles be blessed with good health or cursed with Covid?
Let's find out...now!
Beware Spoilers and...giant hogweed (look it up, it's nasty)
Batgirl #16 - The godfather is here! No not Emma Woods, although she's now in charge of our writing community, but a mysterious figure related to Stephanie. This story pushes forward the hopelessness of the Narrow's folk, and how even with a cadre of bat shaped guardians, they are still easy prey for people like Dante. I look forward to seeing how Emiko plays into the picture, and wonder how Stephanie's part time partner Killer Moth will take advantage of the situation. It seems like Emma has isolated Stephanie further then we could ever imagine, and is painting a survival tail for Batgirl akin to her early work with Girl of Steel in The Mountain AKA 'Space Moria', the reason why I feel in love with her writing in the first place. Here's hoping for more twist and turns in the future.
Hellblazer #7 - Devious doppelgangers Chris Munn! When every a character reflects on their darker side, especially one made flesh it leads to an interesting dichotomy of what is and what isn't. Often these stories are merely to reflect a development, or warn a character, but Chris Munn uses it to open a literal hellmouth in London, one loaded with everything that hates the main character. And we finally get answers about why the demonic John Constantine is targeting his (?) ex-lovers, one that indicates how cruel demons are. Not sure if this is the last issue, but hopefully we'll see a lot more very soon.

As always, thanking youse for the kind words, they are most appreciated XD
The folks of the DC2k seem to have their backs up against the wall in general, hopefully they will find a way to prevail!!
*nod*
I can also confirm, due to insider information (shhh), that Hellblazer is most certainly still going strong, with multiple issues already in the can ready for publication. That Mr. Munn is sure showing us how to stick to a schedule XP
