What I'm suggesting for the Suicide Squad title is one writer completing one arc and then handing what's left of the team onto the next writer in the crew (assuming Emma will allow this kind of approach). For the initial arc I'm suggesting that everyone who wants to write for the title throws a name of a supervillain (hopefully one that isn't dibbed by another writer) into the team line-up.
I'm willing to keep track of deaths associated with this title as well.
At the moment I'm open to thoughts regarding this approach, but I would suggest that until Emma gives us the go ahead we hold off of team building outside the Wall herself.

Here's my picks:
Sportsmaster Control Freak Poison Ivy Gearhead Ebon Hotstreak Clayface
That's I can think of. Hope this helps?

I'd be willing to give it a try.
Like the idea of starting with a group and the next writer getting the survivors and then building a new group out of it. We could get some interesting combos or the chance to write characters you'd never have thought of using.
Only rule suggestion is maybe capping the number of deaths, so no one is tempted to just wipe out the team. Or maybe setting a set number of survivors.

Let me know when you guys are ready to start and I'll start scribbling down a wish list of supervillains.

I would like to participate in this action. Waller would be a must but what about Rick Flag? Just so I'm clear, the next writer carries over the team that survives and only picks the replacements? And then it cycles through?

I know Flag is debatable since there have been teams without him on it, but he has been established in dc2k as the person who selects the team and one of the survivors from League of Shadows invasion. He is the most tricky due to the establishment of the character in canon, so a concrete angle of how we deal with him i think needs to be addressed so we don't have him disappearing and reappearing for no good reason

I am going ask, but I think we need a clarification on resurrections. In comics, Flag died in vol 1 to only find he survived the bomb in vol 2 and Digger died from the Phantom Zone only to be brought back two arcs later
Im curious of how writers will choose the sacrifice. Will it be there selection or another writers. Its like being the no name starfleet guy. We don't know who he is but know he will die.
This idea got me hyped. I guess I dont have to do that Halloween story after all with this project lined up. I'm ready to start selecting members

As for deaths, it'll be up to the writer covering the arc, although it may be that when an arc is finished the night writer puts in their synopsis. Honestly I was just going to assign numbers to the characters and roll a d20 to decided, but then I am callous when it comes to killing off characters. In regards to resurrections, I think the normal M2K rules apply, when you're dead your dead, no second chance unless powers or abilities include reserection/regeneration, or magic/super science is used.

The project isn't confirmed yet, we're waiting for Emma to give us an okay. Cool. What about the Flag angle? Some people like him, some may not, but he isnt a criminal. How we use him, if we use him, has to be cleared since of his establishment in DC2K and dilemma of him sporadically popping up.

Random thoughts: Initial line up should be the choice of whoever goes first. Only fair, since they are then going to spend the rest of the story watching us beat the crap out of the team they put together.
Also, we could use John's dice to determine order of writers. I don't mind where I am in the line up, though I'd prefer not to go first.
Has Flagg shown up in D2K? I'm behind in my reading.
