Random thoughts: Initial line up should be the choice of whoever goes first. Only fair, since they are then going to spend the rest of the story watching us beat the crap out of the team they put together. Also, we could use John's dice to determine order of writers. I don't mind where I am in the line up, though I'd prefer not to go first. Has Flagg shown up in D2K? I'm behind in my reading. My D20 is ready for rolling

I was going to write a Halloween story with them since I like the series, but John did create the idea. It throws suspense into the series. I like your idea, though I think John wanted a fantasy draft type thing with the other writers. Your idea would have a more suicide feel to it, IMO. And this way no writer would feel that their characters are getting picked upon. To be honest though, if I see a lineup with Flagg, Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, and Plastique, it will hurt since I know someone is going to get killed or captured, lol Flagg and Task Force X appeared in Red Hood and the Outsiders issue 4 by Jake Hawkins. His team that was assembled was Flag who helped Waller form the team, Constantine, Bane, Black Manta, and Livewire. Everyone escaped due to the invasion by the League of Shadows outside of Livewire staying with Flagg.

My D20 is ready for rolling Like Travis said, it was your idea so I feel fine if you pick the initial roster. I can not guarantee I will know all your members, so I may have to do some back reading on comicvine or dcwiki Should we have an arc limit with whatever character survives a certain amount is free? If you follow DC recently, it was shame about Deadshot

I'm sure we are are all going to be making trips to wikipedia when our turn comes. john is more a grim and gritty writer, while I am more cheesy silver age. Gonna be some interesting combos showing up!

Here's my picks: Sportsmaster Control Freak Poison Ivy Gearhead Ebon Hotstreak Clayface That's I can think of. Hope this helps? Two points: 1. You must really love static shock 2. Does that mean you want to write in the series rotation?

I might. I was going to do Harley Quinn, Poison Ivey, Clayface, King Shark, and Dr. Psycho based on the Harley Quinn cartoon, and adding Redtool and Baby Doll to the roster.

Updating this thread: Here are some other villains that could be added to the Squad:
Cheetah Live Wire Weasel (Due to the James Gunn film) Snowflame (Who Knows) Granite Woman (Plastic Man Villainess) Plasmius Adonis Polka Dot Man Kite Man Bloodsport Roxy Rocket
I had to pick villains that have either have been campy and popular. I'll even add the Prankster on the list, cause Flash and Batman have better comedically villains. Granite Woman I picked was I saw her last in the Plastic Man crossover with Scooby-Doo in their Team Up issue, and she would get a modern remake. Kite Man due to the Harley Quinn animated series, and maybe the animated series nod could be linked to his superpowered parents and Peanuts jokes. Snowflame for some reason to see him killed off a better way than what the comics did to him.

Yeah, not a huge enthusiast for the 'Oh, what a loser!" school of writing, myself. I'll do it for a one off villain, but if the whole focus is 'so and so is a doofus' then why do I want to read that?
Another thought: We either need to put this project in its own continuity or going to have to submit our team lists to make sure we aren't using someone that's been killed/maimed/married etc.

So Emma has given us the go-ahead for the community Suicide Squad Community Title on the proviso that it doesn't become a blood bath. Our next step is figuring out who would be interested in writing, so if I you could let me know I can start setting up a message board to start drafting teams, writter order etc.
