So apologies for the late review and reaction, I've been working seven day work weeks at the moment, so slotting in reading time has been somewhat difficult. Still with two titles to review (both a first and last issue (possibly)) lets get down to it, and see what we're working with today.
Beware Spoilers......and freak winter thunder snow storms.
Liberty Belle #1 - The Emma Woods train is full speed ahead as she brings Liberty Belle into the DC2000 Universe. Jesse is set up nicely and Emma handles the coming of the villain Godspeed and his destructive entrance really well. I feel an opportunity for the line, "Time for a Quick kill." was missed by the writer, but that's just me. All in all another great first issue which raises multiple questions that need asking. One question I do want to ask now however is if a race between Jessse and Justice League's Hummingbird out of the question?
Punisher #21 - It's been a while since I last saw Mike Hinitze's Punisher series and it wastes no time throwing us back into the conflict between the titular character and Bushman. This issue is full of interesting twists and turns and really showcases the Machiavellian mind of Nick Fury as he controls ever character in the issue. While I appreciate the Punisher getting his 'gift' at the end of the issue, I feel maybe it should have come from elsewhere (a similar incident in the canon Underworld series may have worked better for the character). Well that and I write villains predominantly and always worry about people (other than me) killing them. All in all an interesting end and possibly a great beginning for the Punisher at Marvel 2000.

As always, thanking you kindly for the kind words, they are much appreciated!! XD Jesse is in the midst of finding her feet but, once she's up and running, she could probably do with a few pointers from her fellow speedsters like Hummingbird. How receptible she is to listening to them is another matter entirely... XP
