Before I read the releases, I always wanted to know how John Cheese came up with the title, Truth or Dare?

Before I read the releases, I always wanted to know how John Cheese came up with the title, Truth or Dare? Well the main character is Dare and she’s looking for the truth on the death of her sister. It wasn’t really all that deep a thought to be honest.

So this month we have a Tobias Christopher Double Bill of titles for review. As the bank holiday rolls to an end, it looks like M2K and DC2000 are ramping back up. And as such it's better to be ahead of this juggernaut than behind it, so let's get started.
Beware Spoilers...and not a lot else.
Action Comics #23 - Action Comics lives up to its name with plenty of action as Superman faces three of Apokolips's most brutal and barbaric fighters. While I would like to see more actions, the mental struggle between Amazing Grace and Jon Kent is what really takes centre stage. Such conflicts as well as the sense of family that this title conveys are the main strengths it possesses. Hopefully, we'll get a brilliant conclusion to this arc, and several more in the near future.
Impulse #18 - Running is an Impulse for Bart Allen and it looks like that very thing may have been taken away. This issue sets up the devious machinations of the Toyman as Adam begins his meltdown. We also get some interesting hints at the past of White Lightning which I hope are explored in the upcoming issues. All in all, while Bart may be temporarily slowed down it seems the Impulse title is running at a breakneck speed towards an interesting set of arcs.
