So I'm playing catch-up on reviews after a weekend spent mostly sleeping, following a week of 12 hour night shifts. As such expect a grumpy and/or lazy reviewer who'll endeavor to do better for the titles in today's (as of the time of writing) release.
Nothing else to say (see lazy) so let's get to the two reviews...
Action Comics #25 - Tobias Christopher may have just delivered us one of the most villainous characters DC2000 has seen in this issue. If the fallout from the Apocalypse Arc wasn't enough the reappearance of Superman's two biggest foes adds more stakes to the story and the upcoming arc. Most importantly Tobias enforces the importance of legacy in this issue, and the parallel journeys likely to be faced by not only the new heroes but their villainous counterparts too. All in all a good read, and possibly one of the best issues in Action Comics for a while (the title has always been good this just was a little more). Hopefully, these themes will be carried over into the rest of the arc and expanded on once again.
Liberty Belle #2 - I am a sucker for exposition and Emma Wood's latest issue of Liberty Belle hasn't disappointed me. This story fits in well with Action Comics #25 as it also investigates the theme of legacies. That said Emma writes trauma well (Space Moria I'm looking at you) and the introduction of Jessie takes this to the extreme, and left me with tingles. All in all a solid issue for that all too important first arc that breaks or makes a series. Thankfully it appears as if Liberty Belle is not only going to make it, but break the speed limit as it storms towards Issue 3 and what is likely to be a violent confrontation with the villainous Godspeed, someone who appears to have a link with our heroine. Hopefully we'll get the answers we seek in the next few issues.

Inspired by mr cheese's good example:
Liberty Belle #2: This has the feel of a tie in comic to a CW show that hasn't been made yet. The cast is solid. Like that I'm still unsure if Godspeed is the bad guy or some kind of aloof force of destiny.
Still not loving the pacing. For a series about moving really fast, the story is doing the opposite. I get that there is some word building that needed to get done, but #3 needs to (pardon the pun) hit the ground running.
Aside from that, I like what you are trying to do here. Always wanted to to take a B-lister and give them the Starman treatment, so I appreciate what you're doing and want to see more.
