I heard The Suicide Squad reboot bombed. That’s in part because it was released on HBO which doesn’t count towards movie sales. It’s a lot cheaper, safer and comfortable to watch it from your own home rather than cinemas.

Another set of titles, another set of reviews ready for what I assume is a third August Review. With an exhausted yawn let's get into it.
Beware Spoilers.....and oh my god what are those piranha/cuttlefish hybrids are.
All-Star Comics #11 - Two things that it's good to see back are the references Dakota Verse and Jake Hawkins. This is what we have as we are introduced to Hardware, an incredibly deep cut that makes me overjoyed that the depths of the Marvel and DC catalogs are being explored. The jumping timeline is well handled and the world-building, not only for this title but for the whole of DC 2000, has been handled expertly by the author as is the dialogue between the characters. Whether or not we see anything else spin-off of this issue it was incredibly entertaining and I look forward to not only Jake but everyone else explorig the hidden gems of Marvel and DC.
MAX 2000 #57 - It's been a while since I've had to review a MAX 2000 title, and low and behold it's Travis's Defenders. While I've never been a big Defenders fan, it is indeed a unique team that Travis Hiltz writes with great care and fidelity to the original characterizations. While the story does suffer a little from a lack of imposition, Travis, as always makes up for it with the dialogue of the characters. With the promise of further titles in a mini-series esque format, I look forward to reading and reviewing in the future, and maybe doing a Maxi-Mini Series Over-Review (Sic) when its completed. One question I would ask, is Valkyire going to be included or is it only going to be the original four?

Always happy to get a good review.
Unfortunately, there will likely be no Valkyrie in my little project. It's all about the big 4, their dynamic and how they shouldn't work as a team, but the world keeps making them. Yes, the threat was not earth shattering, but I wanted this story to be more about a bunch of characters not known as thinkers and force them to play detective.
Do have another Defenders idea for the anthology that would include Val and Nighthawk, as well as I'd love to have the time and energy to do an old school Defenders series.

You may not love everything, but any criticism has been constructive.

Since I just had the Hardware film drop I had to do this story. Appreciate the kind words John and yes there will be more ramifications from this story across my work in DC 2000
