Ahoy, brave fanfic fanatics! Today we have a nice little selection of issues, that are bringing us ever closer to a big change for M2K. But fear not, those who love all things DC! We have a new writer for Batman, too. So, dive right in - the water's fine. M2K:Marvel Fanfare #98 - A CODE Confidential Tie-In! Shuri has returned and is faced with...not her brother? Things get a little weird and then, like most things, the fists start flying. Written by Steve Crosby! X-Factor #12 - Final issue! The Mutant Response Team has been taken by Stryfe (or at least a version of him) and they'll need to fight their way free if they ever want to see home again. Oh, and stop Apocalypse's resurrection, too. Written by D. Golightly! X-Men Legacy (Part 10) - The classic M2K stories return, thanks to Cory Wiegel! Catch up on the events of M2K's yesteryear, as written by Dino Pollard! Who knows...this might just help set up something big in the near future... DC2K:Batman #9 - A new writer takes over the cape and cowl! Batman finds himself in the middle of a political maelstrom, so who better to smooth things out than Peacemaker? Written by Jake Hawkins!

It's been a bit, but here are some better late than never reviews!
Batman #9: Jake Hawkins takes over the dark knight and immediately makes it his own with a great debut issue. I love Peacemaker and I'm interested to see what Hawkins does with him here. The fight scene with him and Damien was perfectly paced. I like the look into the inner thoughts of Bruce as well. A strong start, I can't wait for more!
Marvel Fanfare #98: Steve Crosby adds to the CODE Confidential story with this tale of potential turmoil in Wakanda. I enjoyed the focus on Shuri and having her uncover the ruse with Black Leopard was a smart choice. I enjoyed the action sequences and the conclusion this brought to particular strand of the story.
X-Factor #12: D. Golightly brings his X-Factor to a close with a bang! I'll be honest, I didn't expect a surprise Apocalypse appearance in this issue, but I really enjoyed the team having to contend with both him (albeit trapped in another realm) and Stryfe. Golightly wraps it all up in an incredibly satisfying way that still leaves room for more adventures with these heroes.
