Amazing Spider-Man #33-34 by Adnan Khan
THE GOOD: I really liked how Adnan has bought some positive things into Peter’s life and is really doing great things with his smaller supporting cast. Despite what seems like a lack of presence at M2K the Wall-Crawler really has been through a lot and Adnan acknowledges this without beating you over the head with it. His story flow was really easy to handle and the pacing was just right. I did enjoy Robbie finally telling Jonah about himself in regards to Spider-Man. It felt spot on to me.
THE BAD: Despite Smiling Steven’s not being compared to Bullseye in the narration I can’t help but to feel that the hired gun is a lil bit like the character. I’m not quite sure where Adnan intends to take this guy, but I do think him possibly receiving a few injuries in his fights would make him a bit more human and less Bullseye-ish. I also think getting into some of the actual geography of NYC in regards to where these gangs are stationed would really add some flavor to the series. Right now they just kinda seem like generic thugs that could be in any town, anywhere.
OVERALL: This is something that Spidey really hasn’t dealt with too much at M2K and I think that’s a good thing. I look forward to how Adnan will continue to build on the coming war between NYC’s gangs. I demand a Hammerhead/Hobgoblin battle!

Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad some one finally like the Jonah scene! As far as the whole geography thing goes, I didn't even think about that. I'll be definitely sure to incorporate that into future issues.
Smiling Stevens is supposed to be a poor man's bullseye (I thought I referenced that), but don't worry, by the end of this arc, everyone will be very much in pain. (Just ask Cory, I wanted to ruin Peter's face!) These first two issues have basically been a set up...it's definitely going to pick up.
Hammerhead/Hobgoblin battle? Naaaaaah.

Can anyone say... The Red Dogs? They're the most obscure street gang in M2K and I invented them!
