So would MC2 based series be welcome at the Alternate Branch?

I'm a huge MC2 fan so I have a few ideas, actually... my faves are Darkdevil, Mainframe (from A-Next), American Dream and Spider-Girl.

Every MC2 concept is more then welcome, Barry. The underused universes like MC2 and original concepts are actually quite encouraged, in fact.

Barry, weren't you doing some MC2 stuff at a site that was MC2? Coulda sworn. Did that fall through?
Maybe I'm just thinking sideways these days; everything falling out the ears.

Marvel Tomorrow -- yeah, it's kind of fizzled out, apparently. I was doing Darkdevil there.

Much to some's chagrin, M2K has always had a hard time "fizzlin' out." Give any of your ideas some thought and come to me about it in e-mails, Barry. We'll see if we can make what you have in mind happen.

MC2 is awesome. I absoleutly hated the idea when it was first announced, but once I read the issues, its become one of my favorite alternate realities. Moreso I think than Ultimate! It's a lot more old school superheroics that I miss from comics...no more grim and gritty, "We're real!" vibe that canon marvel produces all the time. MC2 is fun and full of heart. And it has continuity. And it actually sticks to it. My god, I can't believe it either.

I have an old Spider-Girl story I'd love to get out there again. Would an MC2 anthology be possible?

Might be better to put it inside the What If anthology. I doubt we could garner enough interest to get an actual MC2 anthology rolling...unless it was a limited one like how we're doing the Amalgam stuff. Besides, Spider-Girl started in the pages of What If. Could be a cool little tribute!

I totally think theres a lot of closet MC2 fans out there. Spider-Girl has an incredibly outspoken and loyal fanbase, I think we could totally get an anthology out. IMO.

I wholeheartedly agree. There's a solid enough "closet fanbase" that you could at least find interested writers if not a full set of anthology issues.

K, then it's time to test that theory. Anyone and everyone who are interested submit your dibs to one of We Three EiC's so we can coordinate the proposed MC2 anthology. Once we get enough writers on board, like about six, then we'll create a gatefold and post the stories as they come.
