I have a couple of one-shot stories featuring alternate versions of Excalibur around, and I have ideas for a couple more (a Wales-based one and a Canada-based one). But I wouldn't want to be the only contributor to such a series, I prefer the idea of it's being an anthology (although I'd be pleased to edit or co-edit the title, being a geek of the Corps).
Is there any interest in such a M2K project?

Do you mean the Captain Britain Corps?
I wouldn't mind seeing some stories with them.

Imagine my disappointment that this wasn't about the Nova Corps.

Captain Britain ... I used the brackets because they aren't REALLY called "The Captain Britain Corps" ... most of them aren't even named Captain Britain!
I was hoping to maybe write, every other story in a series ...

I'd actually prefer to see a What If arc like Brent mentions here, similar to what was done with the first What If story here at M2K.

Unfortunately I know nothing about Civil War, but if I had a cowriter would do my best to cooperate.

I was hoping to maybe write, every other story in a series ... From Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe - Alternate Universes 2005 Though members usually call themselves simply "the Corps," others often attach the name of the Corps member they are most familiar with - for example, calling them the "Crusader X Corp" or the "Captain Britain Corps." Use of the latter version has become more widespread since Brian Braddock-616's coronation. So at least I had the Corps part correct =)

Unfortunately I know nothing about Civil War, but if I had a cowriter would do my best to cooperate. Doesn't have to be about Civil War, Brent was just using that as a possible example. My personal thought is that a Corps anthology wouldn't draw in many writers at all (the Captain Britain title at MO has been listed as open for about a year now without anyone expressing any interest). You'd probably be better off just writing your own Corps series or doing the stories in an anthology.

You're evidently right as nobody has stepped forth.
There's an open Captain Britain title? Where? I may be interested.
I could then break my Corps stories up and use them as backup strips.

Imagine my disappointment that this wasn't about the Nova Corps. The Nova Corps is just begging to be explored.

I'd love to see either of those Corps developed. Both have tons of potential.
I love Captain Britain, but man... why somebody hasn't brought Captain UK into their book is beyond me! Great character. They really should have used Linda instead of creating Kelsey Leigh in Avengers.

They really should have used Linda instead of creating Kelsey Leigh in Avengers. I always liked Kelsey myself lol, but I'm only familiar with Linda from your Pendragons series. I just kinda wish like someone could come in and rob Claremont's New Excalibur from him. Because all the characters are great and could have some awesome ass stories, but CC isn't doing one bit of what he could with them. If I do a title I talked about with Ingram yesterday I'll touch on the Nova Corps.

If I do anything with my Corps I will certainly include Linda McQuillan in some capacity.

If I do anything with my Corps I will certainly include Linda McQuillan in some capacity. Given that Captain UK is the sole survivor of the Fury's initial mission, she should be a character rife with potential.
