I've just been over in the Alternative zone (looking at the Violet's and Meri's victorian stuff...very taken by a steam punk MU at the mo...anyway).
Wow the Ultimate U is growing a lot isn't it.
I'm just looking for some info on what I can look forward too, whose writing? Any tidbits I can worm out of you?

Ultimate Defenders and Spider-Man by Meriades Rai both have new issues on the way (with one coming in the very next release!). Ultimate Avengers by myself also has a new issue coming soon that will wrap up the first arc of the series.
Ultimate X-Men has had a prop submitted and accepted by a new author to the site. We're very excited about the original direction the prop takes! Mutants will be presented in a new and interesting way.
Ultimate Hulk will be a mini coming out of the pages of Avengers. It has ties to the zero issue from that series and will also be a new perspective on existing characters.
Ultimate Fantastic Four is in production by an M2K favorite. We hope to see a prop for it soon, and if the basic ideas were an indication, it's going to be...well, fantastic.
Ultlimate Excalibur will possibly be the most unique title in the imprint, with another new author to the site behind the helm. The premise of the series harkens to something along the lines of Alan Moore, and pure insanity will ensue once the first story is up. Expect to see back-up features for the Excalibur character in Avengers before the series hits the ground running.

The Excalibur title was the one which first intrigued me and now your mention of Mr Moore has me very very interested.
Linking Moore and Excalibur can I assume that this will feature our favourite(well my favourite hence the fan fiction...http://www.thehouseofideas.net/fanfic/showfaq.asp?fldAuto=118 *Cough* shameless plug *Cough*) flag wearing character Captain Britain.
Or is this something truly out of the blue?
I'm like a spoiled child aren't I, you give me answers and I just want more!

You'll have to wait and see. No spoilers from me.

Greetings, all.
I am Kenn Beck, the aforementioned author of the upcoming Ultimate X-Men. I'm very excited to get the chance to write for Marvel 2000, and the thoughts of being able to take my own fresh approach to the X-Men mythos has me pumped!
I apologize for the delay in getting the stories out to anyone who is awaiting them, but I have a very specific method to my madness. I write in arcs, and I like to make sure my arc is completely resolved before I submit any of it. The first arc will be five issues, and three of them are complete, with number four just getting a little touch up. Once all are done, and I have checked them over, I will be submitting them to Dave and Josh, and hopefully Issue #1 will be on the site shortly thereafter!
So thanks for your patience, and I hope you'll enjoy the ride as much as I am currently!

I've heard Kenn's name quite a few times and it's always been associated with good things, so I'm definitely looking forward to this series.

Update: The first Arc, titled Ultimate Genesis (a nod to the repeated use of Genesis in Marvel's title) is completed. It actually filled out four issues nicely, rather than five, and is currently in the hands of Josh and Dave for a quick once over before issue 1 is released. Thanks for the kind words from Dave, Dino and Meri, having read work of theirs, I consider it praise from Caesar indeed. Hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!

I've got #1 of UFF in the bank with Dave and I have just finished #2 and that'll be off to him tonight as well.

You've all probably answered this before a million times, but is the Ultimate line contained all in the same universe, or does each title stand in its own world? Just curious if things link up or not. I'm looking forward to the debut of these titles.

They do in fact link up, and once Ultimate Fantastic Four gets rolling you'll begin to see those connections.

I was wondering what's happening with the Ultimate line, since it seems the only title to have been updated recently is Ultimate Defenders by Meriades Rai.

Not true. Ultimate Fantastic Four was updated recently as well.

I've gotten so busy that I simply don't have much time to write. ULTIMATE AVENGERS started out as such a huge monster story that I'm honestly a little overwhelmed to dive back into it. I have all my notes for the next twenty issues...eh, maybe I'll try and see how much I can get done before May.
I had also tossed seeds into the book for an ULTIMATE HULK mini, which might be easier to write up first. Get me in the mood, so to speak.

Sorry about that, I didn't notice the fantastic four update, I'll be sure hope over and read it. I'm really enjoying the ultimate stories, I'd be really disappointed if they didn't continue. I'm looking forward to the next issue of Ultimate Avengers, and that Ultimate Hulk mini sounds like its going to be pretty cool.
