Okay guys, here's the deal...
I'll (hopefully) soon be making a proper return to the fanfic world, launching an ongoing series in the Alternate branch. A re-imagining of the Marvel Universe in a noir style. It's an idea I was kicking around forever and sort-of accomplished waaay back when I wrote my Howard the Duck P.I. story at a different site, but this time I'm doing it right, and I'm doing it here.
The only problem? I've got no title!! Cory and David and I kicked around a few ideas, but nothing really stuck. The best we've got? M2K Noir! I think there's something better out there, so here's my plea for help...
HELP!
The only prize I can offer is a promise that I WON'T kill you off in the fictional world I'm creating (ya hear that Cory?), heck, I might even make you a hero.
So, whaddaya say? Any great titles spring to mind?
Also, another idea I've thought about: Backups! Stories featuring characters not prevalent in the main storyline. I've got a few ideas myself to get the ball rolling, but any and all takers are welcome to pitch in (including newbies if it's all right with our EiC's). So, any character you ever wanted to make over a la The Maltese Falcon? Here's your chance.
Of course, I'm not looking for six or seven page stories, maybe two pages at most, but multi-parters complete with cliffhanger endings would be fantastic.
Marvel proper may have beaten me to the punch, but I'm gonna try and show 'em up anyway.

How about M2K Detectives? That's just my idea.

M2K After Dark...nah. Anything with "Dark" in it is going to be a cliche in a few months. If I think of anything better, I'll let ya know.

M2K Alley? Timely Tales? Marvels in Shadow?
Just some spitballs.

If "Journey Into Mystery" wasn't so closely associated with Thor then I would suggest that.

Unfortunately, Tales of Suspense is as closely associated with Captain America and Nick Fury. Astonishing Tales of Mystery? Marvel Mystery Theater? Alias? PI's for Hire?

Tales of Suspense...sod Cap and Nick, it fits so well.
Timely Tales is a cool one too.
Hell simply Atlas Comics would do me...both from around the right time.
Tales from the gutter? (yeah it's a bit rubbish)
Would Marvel Noir/M2K noir not simply work?

Tales of Suspense would be cool, but since this is an alternate reality, I wouldn't want it to be considered in the vein of something so storied.
I liked a couple suggestions on the mailing list: "Pulp Marvels" or "Marvel Nights".
I don't mind the "M2K Noir" title either. We've already got "M2K Zombies".

Noir2K isn't that bad. I suppose it depends on how dark the book goes.

I like the name Noir2k as well, in order to distance it enough from the actual Marvel thing. Love to see Noir takes on various characters anyway. ;D

Noir2K or NOIR 2000? We do have a MAX 2000, after all...

Where did I miss Marvel Nights? I like the pun.

Noir-vel 2000!
No, I'm not serious. But I suppose it's sad enough that I typed it anyway.
I like Marvel Nights... but "Marvel" is a given, isn't it? I think something with Noir in the title is best. Sets it up for the site, tells a new reader what they need to know... etc, etc.
