M2K Zombies #5:
I'm am really enjoying Anthony's version of the Zombies of Marvel. I never read the original, just parts of the second series and all of the third. The turning of Crystal was sad to see, but the fight was really good. Hellion getting to laugh at Chase being his usual less thoughtful self was a good scene. Can't fight fire against someone that controls it...
Venom's taunting about Spider-Man was a strangely enjoyable creepy scene. Just the joy he was taking in telling the story of the heroes fall. It was creepily awesome. With Iron Man's decleration, I'm curious to see just how he changes things. Their situation is quite dire.
What If? #14:
Definitely a good What If? story. I never really thought about how different things could have been for Rogue if she hadn't succeeded in that mission or gotten help with her powers and psyche from Xavier. The scope of that one change...almost mind blowing. The scenes between Mystique and Destiny was probably my favorite. The woman is blind but she knows her lover so well she doesn't even need to see. Makes me miss Destiny

I'm happy you enjoyed my little What If. I'm a big Destiny fan, too.

Yes indeed these are not you're Daddy's heroes. If they're heroes at all anymore rather than just survivors. If there's one thing we've got coming up it's going to be tough decisions and lots and lots of death!
I promise this, I have thought that already after 4 issues the title was losing some of the bite (no pun intended) which I wanted it to have and that I think it did in my head when I began to plan...so I promise this that from here on out things will change. Heroes seen in different lights, mucho death, mucho character work (which may need the herd thinning a little first actually...so mucho death) and superhero concepts and action stretched to breaking point in this world.
