Yeah, I know it's a little late Bryan, please forgive me.
Since I'm fresly back to the fold I'm tryin' to catch up on all of my back reading before I start new titles... so here goes.
The Warren/Xavier flashback opener was good, I liked seeing Warren's inner thoughts regarding the original leadership of the X-Men.
It really fit as well, because anyone who's read the classic stories knows just how much of a rivalry the team's flyboy and fearless leader had.
Scene 2, involing Angelica and Warren was good as well, I liked the way Angelica ended their conversation, basically telling Worthington that he didn't have to take care of her. What he really needs to do right now is figure out what he's going to do with himself, and grabbing the old X-Factor uniform was a nice touch, I liked the nostalgia of it.
Rogue and Remy's interaction was interesting, if not a bit old school, considering its been a long time since they laid their demons to rest with one another back in X-Men Omega.
The Kitty scene had to be my favorite, Katherine Pryde, both now, and in her flashback, has always been a girl with a point to everything she does, the goal might not be so clear for us now, but I'm sure Mr. Locke's got something interesting ahead for our favorite Kitten.
Peter's family scene was nice as well, good to see ol' steel skin getting his just desserts, but I can't help but cringe inside expecting something horrible in the near future.
Callisto and Layla and Doop I'm lost on, but I'm sure it'll get cleared up for us in later issues. So far I know that Mutant Towns goin' to hell in a hand basket, and Layla's the only person who knows how or why, so lets wait and see.
Another confusing sittuation's definately the dissapearance of Lila, and that mystery is clearly going to be addressed soon. I hope to see who's behind this little mishap in issue 2, but if I have to wait longer I will, because that just makes you want it even more.
The final Xavier/Moira flashback is what got me, that's what earned the 10/10 here Bryan sir, because like Xavier said “This is a fight for the future! They are the future! Trust the children!”
So, unless the kidnapper turns out to be Morph from the Age of Apocalypse, make mine M2K.
