X-Men is always difficult becomes it always comes with so much baggage, especially for a site like M2K. The X-Branch was at one point the biggest branch, if I remember correctly. So, you know, that has an effect on things. If I remember rightly Brian was doing his own rebellion within the Xavier School, amongst other threads.

Then again... Wanda Maximoff: "No more continuity." Problem solved.

Since Xavier, Magneto, and Moira's kids were/are all reality warpers, did they cause their reality or was it the combined powers of the siblings that created the x-path? Hmm...

'Cor, that'd be a goodun wouldn't it? A team of reality warpers cruising through the Multiverse re-arranging Universes to prevent them from falling through each other, or over-laying, or even to prevent huge continuity ripples, all the while being pursued by the Exiles, and Alphonse Gamble screaming "Stop it, for godsakes!".

I had an idea years ago for a DC team that was all set up to deal with all the damage to the fabric of reality/continuity by all the big cosmic crossovers and resets. It would have been made up of scientists, cosmic beings and the occasional character, wiped from reality.
It would have been more Planetary than Exiles.

There's also Franklin Richards, and Nate Grey may have been up there during his Counter-X shaman phase. And Jamie Braddock, can't forget about him. Yeah, clearly the world as we know it is whatever any of these characters is dreaming at any given time. It used to be so simple. Professor X formed a school to train young mutants in the use of their abilities. As part of this training, these students were given colorful costumes and codenames so that they could: find and recruit other mutants, confront mutants who misuse their abilities, defend mutants against threats, and protect a world that hates and fears them.

ICEMAN and the X-MEN. Bobby Drake - thought he was babysitting - but then gets stuck as leader of the X-Men because of some unforeseen mission to Limbo gone wrong. The "normal" X-Men are stuck, leaving Bobby to pick up the pieces with a rag-tag, young, and inexperienced team of mutants. Kind of like that episode of Star Trek TNG where Deanna Troi was the de-facto captain. Hi-jinks and growing the F up ensue while trying to get the old X-Men back. A return of the Operation Zero Tolerance Iceman that was the unlikely beacon of hope. Woo! I love it. At the very least it'd make a fun mini-series or maxi-series. Another classic Horton/Wiegel collaboration?! Sorry, this is totally unrelated but...I've always wondered this. Why do Sentinel's have faces? There is literally no requirement for a face at all. I'm with Steve on this one. At the very least they provide a psychological edge to the robots and some kind of tie to humanity that would (in a perfect world for the humans) put them at ease. I'd like to see it wrapped up once I get the issues reposted. Bryan had some fun stories going on there. It would be a shame to waste them. Of course, with an integral book like that the proposal will have to be pretty in depth. I can hit up Bryan one last time and if he doesn't respond or isn't available I'm willing to step up and tie up the arc. Another classic Golightly/Wiegel collaboration?! 'Cor, that'd be a goodun wouldn't it? A team of reality warpers cruising through the Multiverse re-arranging Universes to prevent them from falling through each other, or over-laying, or even to prevent huge continuity ripples, all the while being pursued by the Exiles, and Alphonse Gamble screaming "Stop it, for godsakes!". ... The first of many classic Ainsworth/Wiegel collaborations?!

Eh, Re: Robots, I always find it weird that humans depend so much on two main things to be scary - Things with peoples faces that aren't people, and things with tentacles. I mean, the natural world is so bleedin' bizarre, why do we always default to those two? (For the purposes of this ill-timed whinge I am including Snake peoples as Tentacles, as they are basically tentacles with faces. Really angry looking faces. Although, cool tip! If a snake has a Diamond Shaped head then it is poisonous. This is 'cause of the glands on the side of the head which make it all weird shaped. All other snakes are just not chill)
Cory, please don't, but also, please do. Image it...Nate Grey leading Scarlet Warlock, The Legion, Proteus, the Last X-Man, and Hope Summers, Repository of her worlds entire Mutant Genetic Material, facing off against the Kang Corps, Advent, and the Stark Guard.

I think we did awesome with our six issues of X-Force years ago. I'll get the issues reposted and we can get to work!

Reading marvel's new, new, newer than new relaunch of the X-titles, I was pleasantly surprised to find myself reading some X-men comics that did not suck.
I've always had an interest in the whole Weapon X thing and would love to see those guys thrown together as a kind of 'Suicide Squad' group.

That is an intriguing idea. One of my favorite episodes of the X-Men cartoon from the 90s was when Wolverine went through the whole Weapon X facility with Maverick and Silver Fox. I also wanted to see them set up as an actual modern team.

If I thought I had the time to write it, I would seriously consider an Iceman & Cannonball series. I'd go back to my original concept way back in the early days of Marvel Anthology where they'd be roommates, taking on supervillains and ex girlfriends together. And yeah, the Bobby being gay thing would be covered, but there would be actual build up to it instead of just shoving him out of the closet.

I've always pushed for a Gambit title at the site again. I just think he'd be a perfect solo addition to the current team books we have.
