So I guess I can make it official to the world. I'll be taking over the handling of Generation X! Very excited to become a part of this group. I have plans to bring in some more current characters into the continuity and hopefully liven up the title while staying true to the M2K spirit here of blazing your own trails.

WOW~! I am so excited to hear this!
You know, back when Will Sinclair was with us, Gen X was one of my favorite titles, and I think his stuff was fantastic. I can't wait to see where you take it, Eric!

Thanks! I'm looking forward to getting into the mix and making some stuff happen. Since I'm still lacking in alot of M2K knowledge (but I'm voraciously reading) most of my stuff will probably involve people and things not seen at M2K before, but I'm hoping to make this title a full part of the site's historical spectrum.

Well I think the site could stand to have that influx of the newer concepts and ideas. We've all been beating up our toys for so long we're starting to run out of people to play with

I was the one to approve this title and I have to say I really like where Eric's going here. He takes the Byron Trust story to a natural conclusion and then spring boards into a new direction that really works well for the characters in question and gives them purpose. Hoping to see your first issue real soon, Eric! Let's hope it's a doozy.

Thanks! Hope I can live up to expectations. I am really looking forward to getting to write some of these characters. M2K as a universal whole really has a much more hard edged feel to it so I want to try to make sure I can live up to that tradition.

Can we expect Emplate to show up at all?

Consider it done Brent. This guy seems pretty creepy and Pandemic could use an assistant...
As far as Emplate goes, no immeadiate plans. To be honest I want to tread new ground and new characters with these guys. When I do decide to bring Emplate in, I want it to be a story worthy of him.

Can't wait to hear what you have in store for Pandemic. Always a big Mike Carey fan and seeing some M2K twists on characters like him could be cool.

EASILY one of my favorite rosters and it introduced some really cool characters. Most of which have made their way to m2k.

Yea I really want to play him up for the specific field he specializes in (viruses) and how that makes him a bit different from Sinister, Dark Beast and the rest. I don't want him to be seen as a B-rated version of those guys. So I want to hone in on his specific motivations and what makes him tick.

I think the fact that he engineered the Messiah Complex crossover is sort of proof enough of how lasting his run was. IMO, Rogue hadn't been good in years before him and hasn't been that good since. And he built up the Sam/Bobby relationship which it just baffles me to tears why no one else has used that.
