I like to see a Peter Parker in his fifties donning his Spider-Man outfit to battle a gang called the Goblins, and Doc Ock gets a female change unto him when his body begins the shut down. This would have been a better version of Reign with Captain America becoming the main villain as he becomes insane with power.

I would totally write about Victor and Crossbones's doomed (sorry, not sorry) romance. :-) Crossbones just can't get over his previous relationship with Red Skull.

I love Alternate storie, imprints and sites. I've seen some exceptional sites where there is one central conceit for the whole site and writers pitch titles taking place in that "world" (Similar to Age of Apocalypse or some such). Such a great imaginative exercise.
One site had all the genders reversed but only for mutants. Another site took place in the future. Another site took place in the past. ETC.

There is a great superman ( Curt Swan art!) where he ends up on a gender switched earth. The Daily Planet is run by Penny White and the JLA is Wonder Warrior, Batwoman and Super woman.
Very fun. Think I still have my copy.

Think I still have my copy. Great issue and DC has updated that world a few times. I also love these guys who have been making the rounds at cons: They've also had a Hunter (Huntress), Dr. Light, Martian Huntress (Martian Man-Hunter), Atom and others but I can never find a group shot with ALL of them lol

This could be a fun way to bring some life into the branch actually, corral a bunch of interested writers for a project taking place in one of these worlds. We can all build on and create it together and pick the stories we want to tell. Nobody has to make long-term commitments or anything. You want to tell a one and done in the world go ahead. That would be cool.

I would totally be "down" with that, as the kids say, lol. I'd love to help create a world like that. Diverse, different corners (titles) but one cohesive world.

That group shot is great. Yeah, I'd love to join their group perhaps as a male Zatanna.

While I'd love to see that continue as a series for some reason it strikes me as maybe a bit to specific for a full array of titles, if that makes sense?
My first thought was to maybe do something similar to AoA where one event in the past is changed causing the present to be VERY different.
But there's no such thing as too many ideas. I say we brainstorm the hell on this and then put the best of what we come up with up to a vote?

I think Dan has the right idea in terms of creating a universe that can hold a wide swath of ideas. Someone mentioned the idea of Cap never being frozen and that would be a fun jumping off point. Steve Rogers never becomes a man out of time and has had to wrestle with his country getting more involved in the shadier side of politics with the Cold War. Maybe Steve lets someone else take the mantle and moves into politics? Maybe a lot of the heroes we end up getting come, not from radiation, but from attempts to create superhumans using Rogers blood. How different is the world once the Fantatic Four usher in an age of heroes? How many countries attempt to make their own heroes? It could be fun to examine this.
Other jumping off points we could use if we don't want that one. Richards and Doom never have a falling out. The Avengers stay split up once everyone quits on Cap. Magneto makes his presence known in the 50s leading McCarthy era panic to the issue of mutants.

Other jumping off points we could use if we don't want that one. Richards and Doom never have a falling out. The Avengers stay split up once everyone quits on Cap. Magneto makes his presence known in the 50s leading McCarthy era panic to the issue of mutants. All great ideas. Of these the ones that intrigue me most are Cap never being frozen and Reed and Victor never falling out. The first one: Cap's never frozen, does he marry? Have kids? who are those kids? Who did they become? Did the government try to "educate" those children, make them perfect soldiers? How would the superhero world be different with Steve at the helm uninterrupted? Would it be a kinder place? Steve has always been very open minded and compassionate, under his wing would America be more accepting of mutants? The second one: Well this is just delightfully intriguing. Reed and Victor strike me in a very Dumbledore/Grindelwald way... without the fallout it's just us Muggles under their heel for that infamous "greater good". I see a benevolent dictatorship, perhaps only superficially "benevolent" at that. Maybe an underground movement to unseat them in one title (maybe led by Sue, says the dramatic in me lol) and then the adventures of their sanctioned super hero team in another? 'The Fantastic Avengers'? Of course another easy solution is something as simple as taking us say about ten/fifteen years into the future: Kate Bishop in her early thirties leading the Avengers? Valeria Richards as Dr. Doom? Katherine Pryde's School for Gifted Youngsters? Let's keep this discussion going... I'm loving this.
