What is wrong with a female Robin? I would love to see a female Robin again in the Batman Family proving that Robin can't be just a male persona. There is one time I wanted Max from Batman Beyond to be Robin since she knew the secret. I've gotta say Pat, no one here said there was anything wrong with a female Robin, not sure where you're getting that. I'd love a female Robin, I always wanted them to introduce Carrie Kelley into the main canon. See a more lighthearted version of her that hadn't gone through the dark troubles of Frank Miller's ongoing cry for help, lol

Yeah, what they said. Robin of any race or gender is fine. I just believe that Robin should be appearing alongside Batman (so currently Damien is Robin). If they appear elsewhere, cool, but they should be operating beside Batman. There also doesn't need to be more than one. So, it's Damien for now and no other ones need to be introduced into the current timeline.

I prefer Robin to be a guy myself. Always kind of saw him that way: There's Robin and Batgirl.

This is when i did Teen Titans, Tim Drake should keep the name of Red Robin. When the reboot happens in TT # 12 Tim was going to be renamed Redwing a mix of Robin and Nightwing, sort of the outfit style from Crapman and Robin. I do have plans for Carrie Kelly to be in the main universe, look for her in the Teen Titans Halloween Special.

Sorry - Are you saying you're finished with Teen Titans as of issue 12, or that you're rebooting at issue 12?

Batgirl to me, has always read more like a partner and less like a sidekick. Particularly in recent years. She's operating with more free reign than a Robin should. That's just my perception though.
Just because this is getting a little off topic (hahah), has anyone other than me actually seen the first episode of Titans?

Sorry - Are you saying you're finished with Teen Titans as of issue 12, or that you're rebooting at issue 12? Rebooting at Issue 12 with a new roster, since issues 8-11 is a flashback story of how the events of TT # 1 got started. Then issue 12 will begin a new arc with the new roster and the return of an old enemy.

So, I may be the only person watching this but it's actually quite good. It's darker and grittier than they're normally presented but it is Titans rather than Teen Titans, and that series has been plenty gritty lately. It feels like the Raven, Robin and Starfire storyline is finally going somewhere interesting and all three are knocking it out of the park. The Nuclear Family is proving to be incredibly interesting as a foe for them. A comedic element against the darkness. The weakest points for me so far are Beast Boy (he's done nothing of worth in three episodes) and the fact it's taking forever for them to get the team all into the A storyline.
It's doing quite a good job of showing that a cast can be be small and still tell a great, expansive story.

You're not alone gavin I am watching as well. I have enjoyed it and really like how despite all the doom and dread Dick still has some of his usual charm underneath. While there are a few nitpicks here and there I think it's much better than many assumed it would be

I'm glad I'm not alone! Hahah.
I think they're doing a really good job of staying true to the characters at times. Even Starfire, when she was searching for clues there was a really unusual curiosity to her expression that Anna Diop really worked. She's just held back by the amnesia plot. Brenton Thwaites is doing a great job as Robin (I can't say the same for the child actor) and I think he was better against Diop and Minka Kelly (last week as Dove) than he is when just faced with Tegan Croft's Raven. That's why I'm desperate for all four of them to just collide already! Fresh interactions.
The gore and grittiness isn't exactly balanced with trademark levity, but there is levity to be found. Although, I'm officially over Diop's hooker look. The joke is tired and it's only episode three.

it was interesting that they brought back The Nuclear Family back to the media since Justice League Action, and seeing them as a mix of the Cleavers mixed with The Griffins is really a great twist. I wish they would have kept Bart...I mean Brat and Dog. Remember the last time they showed up and Dog talked? I might bring the Nuclear Family in the TT DC2K series, but in a different way.

I think the execution of the Nuclear Family has been excellent. As it stands, they've been streamlined and are appealing because of the air of mystery that hangs over them and they're clearly a threat since they've already left a formidable character in intensive care and taken down two others. I think it's one of the better elements of the show. It makes me excited for Doom Patrol because they can clearly handle underused properties.

So, I finally finished this series. I didn't hate it but there were periods where I was seriously underwhelmed. Starfire is still off (not the actress, the way the character is written). Raven is such a wet blanket. When the story should've been amping up, we got an episode focusing on Hawk and Dove (where the Titans didn't even properly appear). It's definitely a redeemable series and the episode with Hank and Dawn was probably the best of the series, ironically. It just concluded with a reveal and then there was no pay off until season two (although, it could've been in the actual final episode which has been held for the season two premiere).
I'm still interested in the show, it just needs to fix its tone. If it's gonna be dark and gritty, it needs to at least give us characters that we can relate too.
That said, apparently Jericho is joining the cast next season (which makes sense since Berlanti confirmed and LGBTQ+ character) and Donna Troy (one of the show's better characters) should stick around full time. She was definitely a favourite (which is saying something since I normally detest Donna since no one knows what to do with her).

Donna's inclusion was one of the only things that piqued my interest, I was glad to see they were treating her like a GOAT, as she should be treated. I'll be interested to see their take on Jericho. Maybe we could see Terra too since Slade is confirmed as the big bad for next season?

Yesterday I watched Justice League VS Teen Titans which is a pretty good animated film to get some ideas for Teen Titan issues. I haven't seen YJ: Outsides yet, and I do like to see a new line of TT animated films outside of Go.
