I had this idea for a Creature Commandos reboot, but mixed in the manga/anime Hellsing.
I would have a female boss who is this cigar smoking woman linked to the supernatural who recruits rouge monsters to be part of a task force to dirty their hands that the Justice League wouldn't get to.
One member would be a living heap of garbage based off a episode of Superfriends.
The rest would be a vampire, werewolf, zombie, and a female ghost who would be Secret. Secret would be more like her Young Justice animated counterpart.

Atari Force: Just got the entire run at an online auction. Solid sci-fi and very pretty art. They are basically DC's Micronauts.

Infinity Inc: Not entirely obscure, but definitely neglected.
Be interesting to do a story where they fully take over for their parents and become the JSA or figuring out what the Earth 2 Legion of super heroes would be like.

Stormwatch, since I kind of like the idea of going closer to the original run than the New 52 version.
Strikeforce: Morituri - Since the basic idea is so nasty that giving it a more modern go could play up the darker side of the story (although the original is pretty dark).

He's not obscure, but I kind of always wanted to do a Black Knight mini.
And if I'm really being honest, it's a 2099 Black Knight, who works for Dr. Strange and hunts down magic abusers.

Always liked the Knight. Shame his current series is kind of blah. I got to write him when I inherited him, as part of a team line up, on another fanfic site. I liked the idea the team having a scientific advisor that had a magic sword.

I would love to see a revival of Top Dog and set him in modern Marvel in a sort of Brian Griffin/Howard the Duck type character.

Morituri would be dope if it was writtem like Final Destination. Looking at release dates, i was surprised that SM predated Suicide Squad by a month

I've decided to dive into the Whedonverse with an Angel spin-off set six months after "Not Fade Away" that ignores the comics and brings back some forgotten characters to give them the screentime they never really had like Kate Lockley and Harmony. Season 1 of Absolution will be out next year.

After watching "Spider-man: far from home" I now what to do something with those two international heroes, the Ventian Jester and Night Monkey.

Would like to do stuff with DC's space heroes. Not Adam Strange or Green Lanterns, but the guys like Space Cabbie, Tommy Tomorrow and Star Hawkins.
Ideally, a shared universe featuring all the Silver age space guys would be fun, but just to take one and build them up and do gritty space opera would be great.

Picked up some SA back issues and it got me thinking about Eclipso. I know he's some kind of Freddy Krueger evil force these days...maybe, but I like the idea of the hero and villain being basically the same guy and have a Jekyll/Hyde character struggling against each other.

To piggyback on this topic:
Who is a character that you dislike or are blah on that you think you'd like to try and write, just to see if you can or if you could figure out why they are a big deal?
A couple from my list:
Spider-man: I don't hate him, but never thought of him as the holy grail of comic characters. The only runs of his stuff I have is Marvel team up.
Most of the X-men: I fell off the X-train, back in the 90's, so feel a disconnect to 90% of the cast.
Captain Marvel: In order to make Carol Danvers marvel's Wonder Woman, they just seemed to suck all the personality out of her.

Animal man: I'd lose 90% of the Vertigo-ish avatar of the red mystical stuff and pull it back to the original Morrison run. Buddy would be a c-list super hero dealing with weird stuff and trying to juggle his career and his family. And he would have a happy, stable family life.

I keep hearing Weird Al Yankovic doing the voice of Animal Man, since he did voice him in a series of DC Nation shorts.
