I have two What Ifs:
WHAT IF....Doctor Octopus never left Spider-Man's body at the end of Goblin Nation?
I thought Superior Spider-Man was good, but should have been better by having The Avengers and the X-Men doing something about Spider-Man/Doc Ock, while they still did their storylines. They did nothing in the whole run, while Spider-Ock insulted them. This could have been better if Cap secretly got a telepath to go into Spidey's mind, and found out what happened. This could have led to an Avengers VS. Spider-Man battle with Ock still in Peter's body going to prison, and Black Cat getting her revenge. But, the Avengers give Ock an ultimatum to stay as Spider-Man until they find Peter to reverse the body swap, or stay in prison. I kind of think marvel should have kept Black Cat a hero, instead of her going back to being a villain again.
WHAT IF....Big Hero 6 Met The Incredibles?
I know that Disney bought Marvel, but now we can finally get to see two of Disney's superhero teams together for the first time. Set in the movie verse of course. This could be the sequel to the Big Hero 6 movie, but with what has been happening with the Oscars now...Let hope some writer out there could bring this crossover to life.

Yeah, it baffled me how in 'Superior' it seemed to take forever for people to notice something was a bit off about Peter/Spider-man. and then even longer for anybody to actual call him on it or act.
I know a lot of the current marvel universe are written as knuckleheads, but that seems to go above and beyond.
My turn:
What if the X-men fought Galactus...? If you read the tabloids, you know aliens don't land in New York city, they land in some quiet out of the way spot...like, say Westchester County. So, the original X-men struggle to deal with the Surfer, the Angel could take the Torch's job of fetching the Ultimate Nullifier and Professor X could try to mentally debate Galactus and/or try to make him leave earth.
Be also cool if the Surfer gets exiled and then comes back to join the team in an alternate version of Giant-sized X-men #1!

Based on the new Black Panther comic:
What if they did a Black Panther comic that wasn't about somebody trying to overthrow Wakanda and boot the Panther off the throne...?: I know, crazy talk, but What if has always dealt with impossible ideas.

I always thought the BP issues of him in New York were the best ones. Written by Priest I think? Ingram will know. He loved that run, as I recall.

Priest and Liss have both done stories with Panther in New York.

The era where Black Panther took Daredevil's place in Hell's Kitchen was good. Started as The Man Without Fear, became The Most Dangerous Man Alive.
The tale I'd love to tell would be too high-concept to work. What If Wakanda Fought European Imperialism? The way the country's always been built up, especially recently with the cured cancer idea, and they just sat behind their borders while imperialists and slavers raped the neighboring lands? No, I want a story where white slavers attack a village only to get picked off one-by-one by a Black Panther, Predator-style. Eventually things would escalate to the point where a Vibranium Bomb goes off, and goodbye world.
It's the same reason I don't write What If Luke Cage Lived in the Jim Crow South? The National Guard would respond to an unbreakable black man like he was the Hulk.

I did enjoy Priest's run, but even he had the Black Panther getting kicked off his throne. Am I crazy, besides the original Kirby run, has there been a Panther run where somebody wasn't taking over his country?
You think Obama is having a rough time running a country? He's had a cakewalk compared to the Panther. There's a revolution every five minutes.

It's the same with every fictional government. Latveria's gone through a lot of turmoil, with Doctor Doom deposed and restored half a dozen times. When we're first introduced to the Inhumans, the Royal Family is in exile due to the machinations of Maximus. I can scarcely recall a time when the Shi'ar Empire wasn't in civil war. It's a way to tell big conflict stories without disrupting the "real world" aspect too much.
Why do you think Captain America decided not to run for President? He knew the moment things became too fictionalized, all bets were off and the United States would collapse inside of a year.

Yeah, and I hate when it happens to the Inhumans too. As well as 'someone is trying a hostile takeover of Stark industries!' and 'a dark secret from the Guardians of Oa's past has come back...!"
Just seems such a waste to take such a unique character/setting and not make better use of it. Batman has Gotham...big deal the Panther has a country and we see very little of it, except when it gets invaded.

Panther is one of the most dangerous men in the world, and he's slumming it in Hell's Kitchen. Panther's never really been as awesome as he should be since Priest left, though Coates looks good

I had an idea a while ago, not so much a 'What if' as more in the vain of an 'Elseworlds'.
What if Secret Invasion
It's basically, we all know that humans don't get superpowers, there's not magic etc
It transpires that every hero and villain who has super-powers has always been an alien Skrull and everything they've ever done has been orchastrated to weaken humanity for a full on invasion.
So now it's up the the non-powered or tech using superheores to band together and fight to save humanity from their new overlords who have taken over.
Moonknight, Titaium Man, Batroc, Bullseye,Wing, Shang-Chi, The Punisher etc facing off in an underground guerilla war against their friends.

Geez, Crute. I would like to write that thing. Sadly we'd have no Iron Fist but there is still a ton of stories popping to mind.

Cool idea and a good way to explain all the forced, out of character writing of the last decade or two of Bendis and Co.
You could also have the Kree send troops or guys like Ronan to keep the Skull from taking control of Earth.
Never be able to do this as an issue, this is definitely a series.

What If....Spider-Men went to Heroes Reborn with everyone else?
In a Spider-Man issue during the Onslaught crossover, Peter Parker and Ben Reilly are on their way to the big fight in Central Park. Unfortunately, they didn't get their in time, and so escaped the fate of the other heroes (and Doctor Doom). But, what if they made it. The two Spider-Men, in their distinct costumes, swing into that mess...and only Peter Parker exists in the Heroes Reborn. Ben Reilly is thus erased, in much the same way that Teen Tony was replaced by standard Tony, Wasp was demutated, and Hawkeye's hearing was repaired. After being gone for a year, Peter returns, and Reilly is believed killed in the Onslaught disaster. No fuss no muss.
Of course there's still the matter of Mary Jane being pregnant, Aunt May be dead, and the whole Clone Saga mastermind. Clearly it's Harry Osborn, because much easier for the (relatively) recent death to be faked. Peter's "death" shocks him into emerging as a Spider-Man stand-in over the lost year, until Peter's return triggers another breakdown, culminating in a battle with Baby May caught in the middle.
